Cicada Audio Warranty
This page explains the manufacturer warranty process for Cicada Audio products purchased from Motorcycle Audio Australia, including what is covered, how to make a claim, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
All goods supplied by Motorcycle Audio Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the nature of the fault. Nothing on this page limits or replaces those statutory rights.
Cicada Audio manufacturer warranty
Cicada Audio products are backed by a limited manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal conditions.
Warranty coverage & duration
- Cicada Audio products are covered for 2 years from the original date of purchase.
- The warranty applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase.
- Cicada Audio will repair or replace a product if a manufacturing defect is confirmed.
Before you return anything
Do not ship any product without first contacting us and obtaining a written Return Authorisation (RA) number. Returns sent without an RA will be refused or returned at your cost.
How the warranty process works
Step 1 — Contact us
Email support@motorcycleaudio.com.au with:
- Your order number or proof of purchase
- Product model and serial number
- Photos or video clearly showing the fault
- A brief description of the issue
Step 2 — Authorisation
If your claim appears valid, we will work with Cicada Audio to obtain a Return Authorisation (RA) and provide instructions for the next step.
Step 3 — Inspection or field process
Once authorised, the product may be required to be returned for inspection. You must package the item securely in an outer carton and clearly mark the RA number on the outside of the box.
For some speaker claims, Cicada Audio may use a “field destroy” process instead of returning the speaker, which involves cutting the cone and providing photographic evidence.
What is not covered by warranty
- Incorrect installation or wiring faults
- Electrical damage or improper power supply
- Water damage where the product is not rated or sealed correctly
- Physical damage, impact, or abuse
- Modified or repaired products
- Products returned without a valid RA or required documentation
Inspection outcomes
- If a defect is confirmed, the product will be repaired or replaced.
- If no fault is found or the issue is excluded, the product may be returned at the customer’s expense and inspection or freight charges may apply.
