Cicada Audio Warranty

Cicada Audio warranty

Two years, handled locally.

Motorcycle Audio Australia is the Cicada Audio distributor for Australia and New Zealand. We handle Cicada warranty claims locally — you deal with us, not with Cicada directly.

Before you send anything

Every product warranty claim starts with an RMA number from us. Contact us first — do not send, destroy, cut or modify anything until we have issued one.

Coverage

How long you are covered

Periods and conditions here are Cicada Audio’s. The claim process is the same for every brand we supply.

Warranty periodWhat Cicada Audio covers

Coverage2 yearsFrom the original purchase date

2 years from the original purchase date, against defects in materials and workmanship.

EligibilityWho is covered, and what you need

  • The original purchaser
  • Proof of purchase
  • The product serial number
Have these in front of you before you get in touch and the claim moves faster.
Cicada conditions

How Cicada claims are settled

Cicada settles different product types in different ways. None of it starts until we have issued an RMA.

Cicada conditionsIt depends on the product type

Speakers — field destroy. Most approved speaker claims are settled without the speaker coming back. Once we authorise it, destroy the cone and photograph the result. The photo must clearly show the serial number and the cut-out cone. For pairs, both speakers and both serial numbers must appear in the same photo. Send us the photos and we handle the rest.

Tweeters. Most Cicada tweeters are repairable and a replacement diaphragm is shipped. The RR05T is non-repairable; an approved claim receives a replacement unit.

Amplifiers and other electronics must be physically returned for inspection. Write the RMA number on the outer carton — not on the retail box.

Do not destroy anything before we authorise the claim. Products destroyed before approval are not covered.
Limits

What the product warranty does not cover

Where the product warranty stops, and where our workshop guarantee picks up.

Not coveredProduct warranty exclusions

  • Incorrect installation or wiring faults
  • Electrical damage from an improper power supply
  • Water damage where the product is not rated or was not properly sealed
  • Physical damage, impact, abuse or modification
  • Products purchased from an unauthorised source

If we fitted itOur work is assessed separately

The list opposite covers the product itself. Where MAA completed the installation, concerns about our wiring, fitment or integration are assessed under our Workshop Guarantee & Service Terms instead.

MAA workshop workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from handover, and the initial assessment is free.

Not sure which side of the line your problem sits on? Call us. We would rather look at it than have you assume you are not covered.
Making a claim

Start with us, not the manufacturer

All product warranty claims go through Motorcycle Audio Australia. You lodge it with us and we manage the supplier process on your behalf.

  • Contact us first. Do not send, destroy, cut or modify anything until we have issued a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number — sometimes called an RA number.
  • Have your details ready. Proof of purchase, model and serial number, and a clear description of the fault.
  • Read the process once. What to send, freight responsibilities, packaging conditions and our water and weather position are all on the MAA Warranty page.
  • No RMA, no guarantee it gets processed. Products sent without a valid RMA may be refused or delayed. An RMA is a return authorisation — it does not by itself decide whether the product is covered.
