Midrange Speakers
Dedicated midrange drivers cover the 500 Hz to 5 kHz band — the frequencies that carry clarity, warmth and presence of vocals and instruments. In a three-way motorcycle audio system, a midrange driver sits between the mid-bass woofer and the tweeter, handling the range that neither extreme can reproduce cleanly on its own. Used in Tour-Pak builds, custom enclosure installs, and high-end front stage configurations where maximum clarity is the goal.
Midrange drivers for motorcycle audio need to be compact, thermally resistant and capable of operating in a high-vibration environment. They're typically mounted in positions physically separated from the mid-bass driver — a Tour-Pak lid, a fairing pod, or a custom bracket — to allow proper imaging and avoid interference between driver outputs. A three-way build on a Harley is almost always run active, with a DSP controlling the crossover rather than a passive network.
If you're planning a three-way build, the crossover design and driver placement are as important as driver selection. Call us to discuss your build before selecting components — getting the crossover architecture right at the design stage saves significant rework later. Ships Australia-wide and to New Zealand.
