How do I start a Soundstream or Precision Power warranty claim?

What is typically not covered under warranty?

Damage caused by incorrect installation, wiring faults, misuse, physical damage, water ingress, or modification is typically not covered.

Soundstream & Precision Power Warranty

Warranty period

Soundstream and Precision Power products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under everyday use for:

1 year from original purchase date — when purchased from and professionally installed by an authorised dealer
90 days from original purchase date — when purchased from or installed by a non-authorised source

Warranty is offered to the original purchaser only and does not cover any expenses related to removal or reinstallation of the product.

How to make a claim

Contact us first at support@motorcycleaudio.com.au — as the Australian retailer, we may be able to resolve things locally. If the claim needs to go through the manufacturer directly, the process is as follows.

Step 1 — Submit the RA request form

Complete the Precision Power Return Authorisation Request Form. Fill in all fields carefully. For non-warranty repairs, include a description of the problem and request an estimate before sending the product.

Once your completed form is received and approved, a Return Authorisation (RA) Number will be issued — typically by the next business day.

Step 2 — Pack and ship

Pack the product in suitable protective packaging. Write the RA number clearly on the outer packaging. Ship freight prepaid to the address provided with your RA approval.

Do not send any product without an RA number — unauthorised returns and freight-collect shipments will be rejected.

Step 3 — Assessment and outcome

On receipt, the manufacturer will verify all returned parts against the RA. At their discretion, the product will be repaired or replaced in line with the Consumer Limited Warranty. Repair status is available on request.

What's not covered

Products that have been misused or physically damaged
Incorrect installation — overpowering, incorrect enclosure, incorrect wiring, etc.
Units previously opened or repaired by an unauthorised service centre
Products that have been altered or no longer conform to original factory specification
Expenses related to removal or reinstallation

Your purchase is also protected by statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited. Nothing on this page affects those rights.
