How do you upgrade the audio on a 2014–2023 Ultra or Electra Glide?
Most 2014 to 2018 Ultra-family models use the Boom! Box 6.5GT, with the Boom! Box GTS fitted from 2019. Confirm the exact radio and audio package before choosing an interface or replacement head unit.

FAQ
What size speakers does my 2014 to 2023 Ultra use?
Factory fairing speaker size varies by model and year. Most factory systems use 5.25 inch speakers, and selected CVO and higher-specification models were factory-equipped with 6.5 inch fairing speakers. Direct-fit 6.5 inch upgrade kits are also available for compatible factory pods. Confirm your existing pods and factory audio package before ordering. Aftermarket saddlebag speaker lids come in 5x7 inch and 6x9 inch configurations; confirm the exact lid and speaker kit rather than choosing by bike year alone.
Where are the rear speakers on an Ultra?
On Tour-Pak equipped models, in dedicated pods beside the Tour-Pak, not in the Tour-Pak lid. Confirm your model has the factory pods.
Can I run a six-speaker system?
These bikes have a factory four-speaker layout. A six-speaker system is possible by adding compatible saddlebag speaker positions, lids and suitable amplification. It is not a factory configuration.
Do I need an amplifier?
Not necessarily for a basic like-for-like speaker replacement. However, high-output aftermarket speakers, added saddlebag speakers or a six-speaker system need suitable external amplification to perform properly. Factory-amplified systems may also require additional integration.
