American Hard Bag warranty guidance
American Hard Bag offers manufacturer warranties on certain products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Warranty terms vary by product category, and the manufacturer determines the coverage and duration.
In general, many American Hard Bag components — such as speaker adapters, wiring harnesses, and hardware — are supported by a 5-year manufacturer warranty against defects from the date of original purchase when supported by proof of purchase. This coverage period is typical for many AHB-branded accessories sold through authorised retailers.
What the warranty typically covers
- Defects in materials and manufacturing under normal use
- Failures that occur when products are installed and operated correctly
- Claims supported by valid proof of purchase
What is not covered
- Damage from improper installation, electrical faults, or misuse
- Physical damage, impact, or corrosion from environmental exposure
- Unauthorised modification or repair
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic issues
How to start a warranty claim
Contact us before returning any product. Most manufacturers, including American Hard Bag, require advance authorisation before returns are accepted.
Step 1 — Email support
Email support@motorcycleaudio.com.au with:
- Your order number or proof of purchase
- Product model and (if available) serial number
- Description of the issue including when and how it occurs
- Photos or video demonstrating the problem
Step 2 — Assessment & authorisation
We will examine your information and liaise with the manufacturer as needed. If a return is necessary, we’ll provide return instructions and, where applicable, a Return Authorisation Number (RA#).
Step 3 — Return & outcome
Once authorised, return the product using secure packaging and include all requested documentation. If a defect is confirmed, a repair or replacement may be provided under the applicable warranty terms. If no defect is found or the issue is excluded, the product will be returned at your cost and freight/inspection fees may apply.
