Hertz Audio Warranty

Hertz Audio warranty

Register it. It may be worth an extra year.

Motorcycle Audio Australia is an authorised Hertz dealer. Faulty products come back to the retailer they were purchased from — that is us. Lodge your claim with us and we manage it with the supplier on your behalf.

Before you send anything

Every product warranty claim starts with an RMA number from us. Contact us first — do not send, destroy, cut or modify anything until we have issued one.

Coverage

How long you are covered

Periods and conditions here are Hertz’s. The claim process is the same for every brand we supply.

Warranty periodWhat Hertz covers

CoverageVariesBy product — ask us
eID registration+1 yearWhere the program applies

Warranty coverage varies by product. Contact us with the product model and purchase date and we will confirm the applicable coverage before you send anything.

We would rather tell you the right answer for your product than publish a figure that does not apply to it.

EligibilityWho is covered, and what you need

  • The original purchaser
  • Proof of purchase showing the purchase date
  • The product model and serial number, or the eID code
Have these in front of you before you get in touch and the claim moves faster.
Registration

Worth five minutes when the product is new

Hertz runs a registration program that can extend your coverage.

RegistrationThe eID code

Hertz products carry an eID code linked to the serial number. Registering the product at eid.hertz-audio.com can add an additional year of coverage where the program applies.

Register when the product is new — it costs nothing and takes a few minutes.

Limits

What the product warranty does not cover

Where the product warranty stops, and where our workshop guarantee picks up.

Not coveredProduct warranty exclusions

  • Products that have been misused, overpowered or physically damaged
  • Incorrect installation or wiring faults
  • Units opened or repaired by an unauthorised service centre
  • Damage caused during customer-arranged return transport, or by inadequate return packaging

If we fitted itOur work is assessed separately

The list opposite covers the product itself. Where MAA completed the installation, concerns about our wiring, fitment or integration are assessed under our Workshop Guarantee & Service Terms instead.

MAA workshop workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from handover, and the initial assessment is free.

Not sure which side of the line your problem sits on? Call us. We would rather look at it than have you assume you are not covered.
Making a claim

Start with us, not the manufacturer

All product warranty claims go through Motorcycle Audio Australia. You lodge it with us and we manage the supplier process on your behalf.

  • Contact us first. Do not send, destroy, cut or modify anything until we have issued a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number — sometimes called an RA number.
  • Have your details ready. Proof of purchase, model and serial number, and a clear description of the fault.
  • Read the process once. What to send, freight responsibilities, packaging conditions and our water and weather position are all on the MAA Warranty page.
  • No RMA, no guarantee it gets processed. Products sent without a valid RMA may be refused or delayed. An RMA is a return authorisation — it does not by itself decide whether the product is covered.
