How do I start a Hertz Audio warranty claim?

What is typically not covered under warranty?

Incorrect installation, wiring faults, misuse, physical damage, water damage, and modification are typically not covered.

Hertz Audio Warranty

Warranty period

Hertz Audio products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for the period required by current laws, from the original date of purchase as shown on your receipt.

eID — additional year of coverage

Many Hertz products include an eID code linked to the serial number. Scanning the code and registering your product at eid.hertz-audio.com provides one additional year of warranty coverage where the program is available. Registration also gives you access to product traceability, manufacturing, and logistic information.

How to make a claim

Under Hertz's warranty terms, faulty products are returned to the retailer where they were purchased — that's us. Contact us first before doing anything else.

Step 1 — Email support

Email support@motorcycleaudio.com.au with:

Your order number or proof of purchase
Product model and serial number (or eID code if registered)
A clear description of the fault
Photos or video showing the issue and the installation

Step 2 — Assessment and return (if required)

We'll assess the information and advise next steps. If a physical return is required, we'll confirm packaging requirements and what to include.

Step 3 — Repair or replacement

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Hertz will decide whether to repair or replace the defective product or parts. If the product is out of warranty, repair is available at current costs.

Hertz does not accept liability for damage incurred during transport, or for costs, loss of profits, or other incidental expenses arising from inability to use the product.

What's not covered

Damage caused by accident, incorrect installation, or inadequate use
Any cause not related to a defect in materials or manufacturing
Products modified or tampered with by unauthorised parties
Products with an altered, disguised, or removed serial number

Your purchase is also protected by statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited. Nothing on this page affects those rights.
