How do you upgrade the audio on a 2015–2023 Road Glide?
From 2015 to 2018, Road Glide models may use the Boom! Box 4.3 or 6.5GT depending on model and trim. From 2019, the Boom! Box GTS was fitted to selected models, while some standard models retained the 4.3 system. For a full rear stage, choose 5x7 or 6x9 inch saddlebag speakers with the right lid.

FAQ
What size fairing speakers does my 2015 to 2023 Road Glide use?
Most 2015 to 2023 Road Glide models left the factory with 5.25 inch fairing speakers. A purpose-built 6.5 inch speaker mounts in the original speaker housing using the factory fasteners, without cutting, which is why it is the usual upgrade. Factory speaker size varies by model and year, and selected CVO Road Glide models were factory-equipped with 6.5 inch fairing speakers, so confirm your factory audio package before ordering.
Why is the front upgrade so effective on a Road Glide?
The frame-mounted Sharknose fairing places the front speakers directly in front of the rider, so a fairing-speaker and amplifier upgrade is heard clearly, even over wind at speed.
Do I need to replace the radio?
No. Most non-amplified systems provide an analogue speaker-level source that can feed a compatible amplifier through the correct plug-in harness. Factory-amplified and CVO systems may need additional integration. A head unit is optional.
Can I add lower fairing speakers?
Yes, on bikes fitted with compatible vented lower fairings or speaker pods. The enclosure, mounting hardware, speaker size and wiring vary by model and year, so confirm the complete lower-fairing setup rather than choosing by speaker diameter alone. See the lower fairing audio range.
