The Cicada Audio QDW1412 is a 14 AWG speaker wire kit with waterproof quick disconnects – 12-foot red/black pair with male and female waterproof connectors pre-installed for fast, secure, weather-resistant speaker connections in motorcycle audio systems.
14 AWG is the right gauge for most full-range and mid-bass speaker runs in a motorcycle system – enough capacity for high-power drivers without the bulk of heavier wire. The QDW1412 adds waterproof quick disconnects at both ends: male and female connectors that allow speakers to be connected and disconnected rapidly without exposing bare terminations to moisture. Useful anywhere a speaker might need to be removed for service – saddlebag lid speakers, fairing pods, lower fairings – and essential in positions exposed to water ingress.
