Warranty periods

  • Hogtunes speakers (standard range) — 20 years from original purchase date to the original owner
  • XL Series and Wild Boar Audio speakers — 5 years from original purchase date
  • Hogtunes and Wild Boar Audio branded amplifiers — 3 years from original purchase date (unless otherwise stated in the owner's manual)
  • Metrix Audio UTV-1 Kit, Element X amp, Element 1 speakers — 2 years

Warranty applies to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase is required in all cases.

How to make a claim

Contact us before doing anything else — including field destruction. Products destroyed before a Hogtunes tech has approved the claim are not covered.

Step 1 — Email support

Email support@motorcycleaudio.com.au with:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase
  • Product model and serial number (if applicable)
  • A clear description of the fault
  • Photos or video showing the issue

Step 2 — Tech assessment

We'll lodge the claim with Hogtunes. A Hogtunes tech will assess the claim and respond typically within 1 business day.

Step 3 — Warranty replacement

Once a claim is approved, Hogtunes uses a "field destroy" process wherever possible — meaning you don't have to ship the defective product back.

For speakers:

  • Option A — Email a photo of the destroyed speaker(s) and Hogtunes will release the replacement(s).
  • Option B — Provide a $50 deposit and Hogtunes will release the replacement(s) upfront. The deposit is refunded once photos of the destroyed speaker(s) are received.

For amplifiers and other electronics:

  • Option A — Email a photo showing all wires cut flush to the main body of the unit, with the serial number clearly visible. Hogtunes will then release the replacement.
  • Option B — Provide a $100 deposit and Hogtunes will release the replacement upfront. The deposit is refunded once the photo (wires cut, serial number visible) is received.

Freight on replacement products: If the fault is confirmed within 90 days of original purchase, Hogtunes covers shipping on the replacement. After 90 days, a flat-rate shipping fee applies.

What's not covered

  1. Any expense related to the removal or re-installation of Hogtunes products
  2. Repairs performed by anyone other than Hogtunes
  3. Consequential damage to other components
  4. Products purchased from a non-authorised Hogtunes or Drag Specialties dealer
  5. Damage caused by accident or collision
  6. Hogtunes amplifiers with broken or removed warranty void stickers
  7. Damage to speaker components caused by excessive water pressure (pressure washing)
  8. Damage from water in any non-standard or custom installation
  9. Damage from incorrect installation, improper removal, misuse, abuse, or modifications
  10. Damage to returned product caused by inadequate packaging
  11. Any expenses related to custom finishes or paint

Note on water: Regular washing is fine. High-pressure washing applied directly to the motorcycle or its components voids speaker warranty coverage.

Your purchase is also protected by statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited. Nothing on this page affects those rights.
