Hogtunes & Wild Boar Warranty
This page explains the warranty process for Hogtunes products purchased from Motorcycle Audio Australia, including what is covered, claim requirements, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Products sold by Motorcycle Audio Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the nature and severity of a fault. Nothing on this page limits your legal rights under Australian law.
Hogtunes warranty overview
Hogtunes offers manufacturer-backed coverage on its audio products. Warranty periods, terms, and conditions depend on the specific product model and application.
Standard warranty coverage
- Hogtunes warranties generally cover defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Warranty periods vary by product category — see the manufacturer documentation for specific durations.
- Proof of authorised purchase and installation is typically required.
What the Hogtunes warranty does not cover
Like all manufacturer warranties, some conditions are excluded, including:
- Damage caused by incorrect installation, wiring faults, or electrical misuse
- Water or moisture damage where the product is not rated or installed improperly
- Physical damage, abuse, modification, or unauthorised repair
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage
- Products with altered or removed serial numbers
How to start a Hogtunes warranty claim
Contact us before sending anything back. Most warranty claims start with a remote assessment to avoid unnecessary freight and downtime.
Step 1 — Email support
Email support@motorcycleaudio.com.au with:
- Your order number (or proof of purchase)
- Product model and serial number (if available)
- A clear description of the issue
- Photos and/or video showing the product and the problem
- Details of the installation (installer name and invoice, if applicable)
Step 2 — Assessment & next steps
We will review your information and advise whether a return authorisation is required. If so, we’ll provide you with instructions on how to return the product for inspection.
Step 3 — Return & resolution
- Once authorised, return the product using secure packaging. Do **not** place labels directly on the manufacturer’s packaging.
- Reasonable return shipping may be reimbursed if a fault is confirmed under warranty or ACL.
- Hogtunes will decide whether to repair or replace the product in line with its warranty terms.
Inspection outcomes
- If a defect is confirmed, the product will be repaired or replaced according to the warranty terms.
- If no defect is found, or the issue results from excluded conditions, the item will be returned and inspection/return freight charges may apply.
