The SoundStream WHD14+ is a 7-inch plug-and-play head unit built specifically for 2014 to 2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring models. Wireless Apple CarPlay®, wireless Android Auto®, Bluetooth® 5.0, and a 7-inch optically bonded QLCD touchscreen — all in an OEM-style chassis that drops into the factory location using the existing bracket and wiring, with no splicing, no dash kits, and no trim panels required.

Replacing the OEM head unit shouldn't mean cutting into your loom or living with an ugly aftermarket surround. The SoundStream WHD14+ is engineered to the factory mounting point, connects through the OEM harness via the supplied plug-and-play loom, and retains the OEM AM/FM antenna and USB port connections — keeping the install clean and the fairing looking like it came that way.
Why Choose the WHD14+?
It suits riders on 2014 to 2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring models who want wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, a bright 7-inch display, and a clean OEM-style installation. Riders who want wireless helmet headset integration should look at the SoundStream HDHU.V2 instead.
iPhone and Android riders — Once paired, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connect automatically when you start the bike. Maps, music, calls and messages are all on the 7-inch display, controlled via touchscreen or the included thumb control module on the OEM handlebar controls.
Clean OEM-style builds — The WHD14+ chassis matches the factory fairing profile, uses the OEM bracket and hardware, and connects through the factory loom without cutting. The end result looks like it was always there.
Riders building toward a bigger system — The 5V RCA outputs for front, rear, and subwoofer, combined with active crossovers and a 13-band equaliser, give you a solid foundation for adding external amplifiers later.

Important — CVO and Factory Boom!™ Audio Owners, Read Before Ordering
If your Harley is fitted with a factory Boom!™ Stage 1, Stage 2 or Harley HD Audio amplifier — standard on most CVO models and common on Ultra, Limited and Tri Glide® models — you must add the SoundStream WHD.UNLOC + Maestro® RR2 kit. Without it the factory Boom!™ amplifier cannot communicate with the WHD14+, and your OEM amplified audio system will not operate. This is a requirement, not an optional upgrade.
The kit also adds up to 10 digital gauges drawn from 40+ available parameters, pop-up warnings for oil pressure, fuel level and engine temperature, and advanced programmable thumb control mapping — on any bike, amplified or not. It connects via a pre-wired plug-and-play harness, so there is no additional cutting or splicing.
Not sure whether your bike has a factory Boom!™ amplifier? Three quick checks:
1. Does it have factory rear speakers? Most bikes with factory saddlebag lid or Tour-Pak® speakers have a factory amplifier as well. A bike with fairing speakers only usually does not.
2. Is it a CVO? Most CVO Touring models left the factory with Boom!™ Stage 1 or Stage 2 amplified audio as standard.
3. Is it an Ultra, Limited or Tri Glide® Ultra? Factory amplified audio is standard or a very common factory option across these models.

Fitment
The SoundStream WHD14+ is a direct OEM-replacement head unit for 2014 to 2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring models. It mounts using the factory bracket and hardware with no modifications required, and the OEM AM/FM radio antenna and USB media port cable connect directly with no adapters. It is not compatible with Skyline OS bikes — 2024 and newer Touring models, and CVO models from the 2023.5 model update onward.

Before You Order — What the WHD14+ Does Not Support
No helmet headset integration — the WHD14+ does not pair with wired or wireless helmet headsets or Bluetooth comms units such as Sena or Cardo. Phone calls are handled by the head unit itself, not routed to your helmet. If wireless rider and passenger audio is a priority, see the SoundStream HDHU.V2.
No CB radio retention — CB functions are not supported.
No built-in navigation — mapping runs through Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto®.
Gauges and advanced thumb control need the WHD.UNLOC — on its own the WHD14+ gives you volume, track skipping and call answer/end from the bars. On-screen engine data and full cursor navigation come with the WHD.UNLOC kit.

Wireless Apple CarPlay® — iPhone Integration Without Cables
Apple CarPlay® on the SoundStream WHD14+ connects wirelessly — no cable required, no cable to wear out from vibration or weather. Once paired, your iPhone connects automatically each time you start the bike. Maps, music, podcasts, calls and messages all appear on the 7-inch display in the CarPlay interface, designed for easy single-glance viewing. Control via touchscreen or via the OEM handlebar controls through the included thumb control module, and Siri® responds to voice commands for hands-free operation at speed.
Wireless Android Auto® — Google Assistant and Full Android Integration
Android Auto® connects wirelessly and brings your Android apps to the WHD14+'s screen with no cable needed. Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, and messaging apps are all accessible from the display or by voice, with real-time traffic data shown on the 7-inch screen. Google Assistant handles natural voice commands — ask for directions, send a message, or find the nearest fuel stop without taking your hands off the bars.
7-inch Optically Bonded QLCD — 1000 NIT Touchscreen
The 7-inch QLCD uses an optically bonded construction — the touchscreen glass is bonded directly to the display panel, eliminating the air gap that causes glare and fogging in standard screens. The result is a clearer, higher-contrast image in direct sunlight with no condensation between layers. The 1000 NIT backlight keeps maps and menus readable at highway speeds in Australian conditions.
Bluetooth® 5.0 — Audio Streaming and Hands-Free Calling
Independent of CarPlay and Android Auto, the WHD14+ supports Bluetooth® 5.0 for wireless audio streaming (A2DP) and hands-free phone calling through the head unit. Stream music or take calls over a direct Bluetooth® connection when a full CarPlay or Android Auto session isn't needed. Note that this is calling through the head unit — it is not Bluetooth helmet-headset integration, and the WHD14+ does not pair with Sena, Cardo or similar comms units.
OE-Style Chassis — Plug-and-Play Installation
The WHD14+ is built specifically for the 2014 to 2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring fairing. It uses the factory radio bracket and mounting hardware — no dash kits, no trim panels, no cutting. The supplied plug-and-play loom connects to the OEM radio harness without splicing any factory wiring. The OEM AM/FM radio antenna and USB media port cable connect directly with no adapters. The faceplate profile matches the factory head unit surround for a clean, OEM-finish result.
Handlebar Controls — Thumb Control Module Included
Every WHD14+ supplied by MAA includes a thumb control module that interfaces with the OEM handlebar controls. Volume up and down, track skipping, and phone call answer and end are all accessible from the bars without touching the screen. This covers the core controls most riders use while riding.
IPx5 Water Resistance — Built for Real Riding
The WHD14+ carries an IPx5 water resistance rating — protected against direct water spray from any direction. The optically bonded QLCD eliminates the internal air gap that traps moisture, sonically welded ABS housings resist water ingress at the seams, and silicone gaskets seal the faceplate perimeter. Built for rain, road grime, and wash-downs over the long term.
Built-In Class-D Amplifier with EQ and Active Crossovers
The WHD14+ includes a built-in 2-ohm stable Class-D 4-channel amplifier — enough clean power to drive upgraded fairing and bag speakers directly, or to serve as the head unit in a multi-amplifier system. Five-volt RCA outputs for front, rear and subwoofer provide a strong signal to external amplifiers, allowing lower gain settings and helping keep the system clean as output increases. The 13-band digital equaliser includes custom staging presets and manual adjustment, and active crossovers are available for front, rear, and subwoofer outputs independently. For full system tuning — independent channel control, time alignment and detailed crossover configuration — a dedicated DSP is the next step.
Rear Camera Input
An RCA video input with 12V trigger support allows connection of a rear camera. The camera feed displays on the 7-inch screen, triggered automatically or manually. See the SoundStream HDV-UltraV2 for a matched rear camera option.
WHD.UNLOC + Maestro® RR2
The WHD.UNLOC kit opens full OEM CAN bus communication between the WHD14+ and your Harley — required on factory Boom!™ amplified bikes, and an optional upgrade on every other bike for digital gauges, engine warnings and advanced thumb control mapping. See "Which Version Do I Need?" above.
