The Cicada Audio CHD69MHD is a pair of custom-moulded high-grade ABS saddlebag speaker dividers for Cicada Audio CM69.2X and CM69.4X 6×9-inch mid-bass speakers – controls the internal air volume behind the speaker to reduce distortion and improve mid-bass performance. Includes a pre-cut damping mat and all installation hardware. Compatible with CM69.2X and CM69.4X Cicada Audio speakers only.
Running a 6×9-inch mid-bass speaker in a Harley-Davidson® saddlebag without controlling the air volume behind it leads to unloaded cone movement, distortion, and potential driver damage at higher output levels. The CHD69MHD divider sits between the speaker and the bag interior, creating the correct air boundary for Cicada Audio CM69 mid-bass drivers and letting the speaker perform as designed. The pre-cut damping mat reduces resonance from the bag structure, and all mounting hardware is included.
⚠️ Critical installation requirement: The amplifier or DSP crossover must be set to 250 Hz at 12–24 dB/octave or higher when using this divider. Any crossover point below 250 Hz will cause distortion and may permanently damage the speaker due to the controlled air space. Damage from incorrect crossover settings is not covered under warranty.

What's Inside the CHD69MHD
The divider is custom-moulded high-grade ABS that sits between a CM69.2X or CM69.4X and the rest of the saddlebag, giving the 6×9 mid-bass driver a defined air boundary to work against instead of the whole bag. A pre-cut damping mat goes in with it to take resonance out of the bag structure, and the installation hardware is included. On the road: the cone stays loaded at higher output rather than moving unchecked and turning into distortion.
That controlled air space sets one condition: the amplifier or DSP crossover runs at 250 Hz at 12–24 dB/octave or higher. On the road: a crossover point below 250 Hz will distort and may permanently damage the speaker, and that damage is not covered under warranty.
