The Cicada Audio CHD69HD is a pair of custom-moulded high-grade ABS saddlebag speaker dividers for Cicada Audio CH and CHX 6×9-inch coax horn speakers – controls the internal air volume behind the speaker to reduce distortion and improve output. Includes a pre-cut damping mat and all installation hardware. Compatible with Cicada Audio CH and CHX 6×9-inch speakers only. Sold as pair.
Running a 6×9-inch coax horn speaker in a Harley-Davidson® saddlebag without controlling the air volume behind it leads to unloaded cone movement, distortion, and potential driver damage at higher output levels. The CHD69HD divider sits between the speaker and the bag interior, creating the correct air boundary for Cicada Audio CH and CHX 6×9-inch coax horn drivers. The pre-cut damping mat reduces resonance from the bag structure, and all mounting hardware is included. Note: this divider is designed for CH/CHX coax horn 6×9-inch speakers only – not for the CM69.2X or CM69.4X mid-bass drivers.
⚠️ Critical installation requirement: The amplifier or DSP crossover must be set to 250 Hz at 12–24 dB/octave or higher when using this divider. Any crossover point below 250 Hz will cause distortion and may permanently damage the speaker due to the controlled air space. Damage from incorrect crossover settings is not covered under warranty.

What's Inside the CHD69HD
The divider is custom-moulded high-grade ABS that sits between the speaker and the rest of the bag, giving a CH or CHX 6×9 coax horn driver a controlled volume of air to work against instead of the whole saddlebag. The pre-cut damping mat goes in with it and takes resonance out of the bag structure. On the road: the cone stays loaded as levels come up, so what you hear is output rather than an unloaded driver distorting.
Installation hardware is included with the pair. Because the air space behind the speaker is now controlled, the amplifier or DSP crossover has to be set to 250 Hz at 12–24 dB/octave or higher. On the road: set the crossover before you turn it up, because a lower crossover point in this enclosure causes distortion and can damage the speaker.
