Level 4 PRO active component front stage for 2014–2023 Harley Touring – FLX700.4PRO DSP amplifier, CM65.4X mid-bass and RR075T horn tweeters on four dedicated channels

The Cicada Audio 14FLXPCM-4X4 is the Level 4 PRO front stage for 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring models. The FLX700.4PRO 4-channel DSP amplifier runs an active 2-way component system: a CM65.4X 4Ω Carbon Matrix mid-bass pair and an RR075T 4Ω ring radiator horn tweeter pair, each driver on its own amplifier channel with the crossover set in the DSP. Both variants ship with 6 AWG power wiring, input and output harnesses, and a model-specific amplifier rack. The Road Glide variant's tweeters come fitted to the CHDRGGTK grille kit; the Street Glide variant ships CHDSGGT grilles with tweeter cutouts plus a separate RR075T pair to fit in them. Select Road Glide or Street Glide at checkout.

The 14FLXPCM-4X4 separates the two jobs a coaxial speaker combines. The CM65.4X is a dedicated mid-bass driver with no tweeter on its cone, and the RR075T mounts separately at the grille. The FLX700.4PRO's DSP is the crossover – it sets the frequency split, slope, EQ and level for each driver independently. For a front-and-rear system built on horn coaxials instead, see the 14FLXPCH-4X4; for a component system that also covers the saddlebag lids, see the 14FLXPCM-4X8.

Who This Is For

Riders on a 2014–2023 Street Glide®, Road Glide®, Electra Glide® or Ultra Limited® who want the fairing to be the best-resolved part of the system – dedicated mid-bass and tweeter drivers, each on its own amplifier channel, with every crossover and EQ decision made in software rather than fixed in a passive network. It is a front-only kit: all four FLX700.4PRO channels are allocated to the two-way front stage. If the saddlebag lids are part of the plan, the 14FLXPCM-4X8 is the full-stage component kit; for a complete front-and-rear horn coaxial system, the 14FLXPCH-4X4.

What This Is Best For

  • Four channels, four drivers – no shared amplifier path – left mid-bass, right mid-bass, left tweeter, right tweeter, each on a dedicated FLX700.4PRO channel. A passive coaxial shares one channel between woofer and tweeter through a fixed inductor-capacitor network; here the DSP filters the signal before amplification, so each amplifier channel only reproduces the band its driver is meant to play. On the road: the crossover point, slope and tweeter level can be re-tuned after installation to suit how the fairing actually sounds at speed – without touching a component.
  • CM65.4X – Carbon Matrix mid-bass for the fairing – a dedicated 6.5″ mid-bass at 4Ω with no coaxial tweeter assembly adding mass to the cone or intruding on its excursion. Below the DSP crossover it handles vocals, instruments and upper bass – the range that carries most of what a rider actually hears. On the road: intelligibility holds up at highway speed because the driver doing that work isn't also carrying a tweeter.
  • RR075T – 0.75″ ring radiator horn tweeter – a shallow horn with a 1.0″ aluminium diaphragm, 100 dB sensitivity, 50W RMS and 2–20 kHz response, mounted at the grille rather than recessed in the fairing. The horn directs high-frequency output toward the rider. On the road: treble detail that would otherwise scatter into the fairing cavity is aimed at the listening position.
  • FLX700.4PRO – the amplifier is the crossover – 175W × 4 at 2Ω rated output in a compact chassis, with an integrated 6-channel DSP configured from a PC over USB-C. In this kit that DSP replaces the passive crossover network entirely. On the road: one unit in the fairing does the amplification and the tuning – no separate processor to mount, power or wire.

Road Glide or Street Glide? What changes in the box

The amplifier, CM65.4X mid-bass pair, power wiring and signal harnesses are identical in both variants. What changes is how the tweeters reach the fairing. Road Glide: the CHDRGGTK is a grille-and-tweeter kit – kidney grilles with the RR075T pair included – plus the 14HDAR-RG rack. Street Glide: the CHDSGGT grilles have tweeter cutouts but no tweeters, so the Street Glide variant ships a separate RR075T pair to fit in them, plus the 14HDAR-SG rack. Both variants end up with the same RR075T tweeter at the grille – the difference is only whether it arrives in the grille box or beside it.

This System Requires a Radio Flash

Before installing any amplified audio upgrade on a 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson Touring model, the factory Infotainment radio needs to be flashed. With a DSP amplifier and active component system, factory processing stacks on top of your DSP crossover and EQ settings. A flash removes factory processing so the FLX700.4PRO's DSP operates on a clean signal. TechnoResearch or any authorised Harley-Davidson dealer, approximately 30 minutes.

What's Inside the 14FLXPCM-4X4

The amplifier is the FLX700.4PRO – a 4-channel Class-D unit rated at 175W RMS × 4 at 2Ω, with an integrated 6-channel DSP (4 amplified, 2 pass-through). In this kit the four amplified channels are split two and two: channels for the left and right mid-bass receive a low-passed signal, channels for the left and right tweeter a high-passed one. On the road: because each driver's band is defined before amplification, no amplifier power is spent pushing bass into a tweeter or treble into a mid-bass cone.

The mid-bass is the CM65.4X – a 6.5″ Carbon Matrix cone driver at 4Ω, built as a mid-bass only. Carbon Matrix is chosen for stiffness relative to its mass: rigid enough to hold its shape at high excursion, light enough not to slow the motor. On the road: the cone stays consistent from a cold morning start to a closed fairing in summer heat.

The tweeter is the RR075T – a 0.75″ shallow ring radiator horn using a 1.0″ aluminium diaphragm with a high-temperature voice coil and heat-sink design, rated at 50W RMS / 100W peak, 100 dB sensitivity (1W/1m) and 2–20 kHz response. Mounting depth is 28.9 mm (1.13″). On the road: the horn's directional control keeps high-frequency energy pointed at the rider rather than into the fairing cavity, so less level is needed to cut through wind noise.

On the Road Glide variant the RR075T pair arrives fitted to the CHDRGGTK kidney grille kit. On the Street Glide variant the CHDSGGT round grilles provide the cutouts and a separate RR075T pair is supplied to fill them.

Why an Active Crossover

A passive crossover – the inductors, capacitors and resistors between an amplifier output and its drivers – is fixed at the factory, costs power as heat, and has no way to time-align drivers that sit at different distances from the rider's ears. The FLX700.4PRO's DSP applies the crossover digitally before amplification, so the split point, slope, per-driver EQ and delay are all adjustable from a PC after installation. On the road: the tune can be matched to the real acoustic behaviour of your fairing, not a generic starting point.
