Level 4 PRO active component front stage for 2014–2023 Harley Touring — FLX700.4PRO DSP amplifier, CM65.4X midbass and RR075T horn tweeter
The Cicada Audio 14FLXPCM-4X4 is the Level 4 PRO front stage for 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring models — the top of the Cicada kit range. Built around the FLX700.4PRO 4-channel DSP amplifier running an active 2-way component system: CM65.4X 4Ω carbon matrix midbass speakers on the outer channels and RR075T 4Ω horn tweeters on the inner channels. The DSP manages the active crossover — no passive network, each driver on its own dedicated amplifier channel. 6 AWG wiring, model-specific rack, and tweeter-cut grilles included. Select Road Glide or Street Glide at checkout.
The 14FLXPCM-4X4 is a different architecture from every other kit in the 14FLX range. Every other kit — Level 1 through Level 3 PRO — uses coaxial speakers where the tweeter is mounted concentrically on the woofer cone. The CM series separates the two: the CM65.4X is a dedicated midbass driver with no tweeter, and the RR075T horn tweeter mounts separately through the grille. The FLX700.4PRO's DSP acts as the active crossover — setting the exact frequency split between the two drivers, applying independent EQ to each, and controlling level independently. For the complete horn coaxial system at Level 3 PRO, see the 14FLXPCH-4X4.
Who This Is For
Riders who want an active 2-way component front stage — dedicated midbass and tweeter drivers on separate amplifier channels, with DSP-controlled active crossover. The 14FLXPCM-4X4 is the correct choice when maximum front-stage resolution is the goal and DSP tuning of each driver independently is required. It is a front-only kit — the FLX700.4PRO's four channels are fully allocated to the two-way component system. For a complete front-and-rear system, see the 14FLXPCH-4X4.
What This Is Best For
- Active 2-way component — midbass and tweeter on dedicated channels — the CM65.4X and RR075T each run on their own FLX700.4PRO channel. Left midbass, right midbass, left tweeter, right tweeter — four channels, four drivers, no shared amplifier path. A passive coaxial has the tweeter and woofer sharing one amplifier channel through a passive crossover network; this system removes that constraint. The DSP sets the crossover frequency, slope, and level for each driver independently.
- CM65.4X — carbon matrix midbass for the fairing position — the CM65.4X is a dedicated 6.5″ midbass driver at 4Ω — carbon matrix cone, no tweeter assembly mounted on the cone to compromise excursion or add mass. A midbass running below its crossover point can move more freely and produce cleaner output than a coaxial driver carrying a tweeter on its cone. On the road: the midbass stage handles the frequency range where motorcycle audio carries most of its intelligibility — vocals, instruments, upper bass — with a cone that isn't compromised by a coaxial tweeter assembly.
- RR075T — 1″ shallow horn tweeter — the RR075T is a ring radiator horn tweeter designed for shallow mounting through the fairing grille. Horn-loaded for directional high-frequency projection, mounted at the grille surface — closer to the listening position than a coaxial tweeter recessed in the fairing. The DSP applies the high-pass crossover and level setting independently. On the road: a tweeter at the grille surface, horn-directed toward the rider, with DSP-set crossover — the treble detail that matters at speed, positioned and tuned to project into the listening position rather than into the fairing cavity.
- FLX700.4PRO — active crossover via DSP — the FLX700.4PRO's DSP processor manages the active crossover between the CM65.4X and RR075T on each side. Set the crossover frequency, slope, and individual channel levels in software — adjustable after installation, without touching any hardware. This is the capability that makes the Level 4 component system work: DSP replaces the passive crossover network entirely.
Road Glide or Street Glide?
The amplifier, CM65.4X midbass speakers, wiring, and harnesses are identical in both variants. What differs is the model-specific mounting hardware and grille/tweeter solution. The Road Glide variant includes the 14HDAR-RG rack and CHDRGGTK — the Road Glide kidney grille with RR075T tweeter kit integrated. The Street Glide variant includes the 14HDAR-SG rack and CHDSGGT — the Street Glide round grille with tweeter cutout.
This System Requires a Radio Flash
Before installing any amplified audio upgrade on a 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring model, the factory Infotainment radio needs to be flashed. With a DSP amplifier and active component system, factory processing stacks on top of your DSP crossover and EQ settings. A flash removes factory processing so the FLX700.4PRO's DSP operates on a clean signal. TechnoResearch or any authorised Harley-Davidson® dealer, approximately 30 minutes and $150–$300 AUD.
The Bottom Line
The Level 4 PRO active component front stage — FLX700.4PRO DSP amplifier, CM65.4X midbass and RR075T horn tweeters on dedicated channels, active DSP crossover, 6 AWG wiring, model-specific rack, and tweeter-cut grilles. The highest-resolution fairing stage in the Cicada kit range. Select Road Glide or Street Glide above. For a complete front-and-rear horn coaxial system, see the 14FLXPCH-4X4.

The FLX700.4PRO as Active Crossover
The FLX700.4PRO's integrated DSP replaces the passive crossover network that a conventional component system requires. Rather than a fixed inductor-capacitor network between the amplifier output and the drivers, the DSP applies a digital crossover filter before amplification — the midbass channels receive a low-passed signal and the tweeter channels receive a high-passed signal, each at the frequency, slope, and level set in software. This means the crossover point can be adjusted after installation. On the road: an active crossover is more efficient and more precise than a passive network — no power lost in a resistive crossover, and the crossover frequency tuned for the actual acoustic behaviour of the fairing enclosure rather than for a generic spec.
