The 1-inch aluminium horn tweeter with V9™ Phase Plug for Harley fairing positions.

The Cicada Audio RR1T is a 1-inch aluminium short horn tweeter – 50W RMS, 4Ω, 101.2 dB sensitivity (peaks to 107 dB), 2 kHz – 20 kHz response, V9™ Phase Plug – for motorcycle fairing and custom mounting positions. 7 kHz / 12 dB crossover included. Advanced voice coil heat-sink design. Rain or Shine™ all-weather construction. Sold as a pair.

The RR1T is the highest-sensitivity standalone tweeter in the Cicada compact horn range. The 1-inch aluminium diaphragm, short horn geometry, and V9™ Phase Plug combine to produce a tight, focused high-frequency stage with sensitivity up to 107 dB peak – slightly more output per watt than the smaller RR05T and RR075T. The V9™ Phase Plug improves horn dispersion, widening the listening angle and ensuring the high-frequency field reaches the rider and passenger rather than concentrating into a narrow beam. At 2-inch / 50mm mounting diameter, the RR1T fits the factory fairing tweeter openings on 2014–2023 Harley Touring models.

Who This Is For

Riders who want the most output from a compact, direct-fit fairing tweeter – and the wider dispersion of the V9™ Phase Plug compared to a standard horn. The RR1T offers the highest sensitivity in the Cicada compact tweeter range. For smaller mounting positions, the RR05T (0.5-inch) and RR075T (0.75-inch) are the compact alternatives.

What This Is Best For

  • Harley Touring fairing tweeter upgrade (2014–2023) – 2-inch / 50mm mounting diameter fits factory fairing tweeter positions on Street Glide, Road Glide, and Ultra Limited models.
  • High-output amplified Harley audio systems – 101.2 dB sensitivity with peaks to 107 dB delivers serious high-frequency output from modest amplifier channel power; well-matched to high-SPL builds using CM or CXK mid-bass drivers.
  • Builds requiring wide dispersion from a compact tweeter – V9™ Phase Plug broadens the coverage angle beyond standard horn geometry; useful in fairing positions where the riding position is off-axis from the tweeter centreline.
  • Builds where 41mm mounting depth is acceptable – slightly deeper than the RR075T (28.9mm); confirm clearance in tight fairing positions.

What's Inside the RR1T

The RR1T uses a 1.0-inch aluminium diaphragm with high-temp voice coil in a short horn enclosure. Aluminium delivers bright, extended high-frequency response and good thermal tolerance under sustained operation. The V9™ Phase Plug (Cicada exclusive) sits in the horn throat and redistributes the acoustic field to produce wider, more even dispersion – the coverage pattern is wider than the nominal horn geometry alone would produce, which is particularly useful in fairing positions where the rider's head is not always on the acoustic axis of the tweeter. On the road: the treble stays even as you move around in the seat, because the coverage does not depend on your head sitting exactly on the axis of the tweeter.

The advanced voice coil heat-sink design improves thermal dissipation under sustained high-output use. The N35 neodymium magnet structure keeps the assembly compact. The die-cast aluminium basket provides rigidity and thermal stability. The 7 kHz / 12 dB crossover in a custom-tooled, vented enclosure is included – flush mounting depth of 41.3mm / 1.625-inch. On the road: a long day at volume works a tweeter hard, and the heat-sink voice coil design and cast aluminium basket are what shed that heat and hold the driver stable.
