Amplifier and processor in one sealed chassis – 300W × 4 at 2Ω with six-channel DSP for Street Glide® and Road Glide®
The Cicada Audio WX1200.4PRO combines a 4-channel Class-D amplifier with a built-in six-channel DSP (four amplified channels, two pass-through) in an IPX6-rated extruded aluminium chassis. It produces 300W × 4 RMS at 2Ω, 200W × 4 at 4Ω, or 600W × 2 bridged at 4Ω. You tune it with Cicada's DIALD™ software, on a Windows® PC over USB-C or from the iOS® and Android™ app over Bluetooth®. It fits batwing and sharknose fairings on 1998–2026 Harley-Davidson® Touring models, and bolts to Cicada's 2014–2023 and 2024+ Road Glide and Street Glide amplifier racks, sold separately.
This is the PRO of Cicada's sealed WX line. Compared with the WX900.4, it adds the processor, gives 75W more per channel at 2Ω, and switches from moulded leads to busbar terminals that take 4 AWG power and ground. That lets you size the power feed for its higher current draw. The chassis is longer to match: 192mm against the WX900.4's 119mm.
Who This Is For
Riders building a system they intend to tune properly. That includes horn or tweeter channels that need a steep high-pass, a front stage with separate drivers, or a second amplifier for mid-bass that should take its signal from the same processor. It suits builders who would otherwise buy a separate DSP and amplifier and find space for both in a fairing. If the amp will sit in a dry fairing cavity and you don't need the sealed chassis, the FLX700.4PRO and FLX1400.4PRO bring the same DIALD™ tuning in the FLX format. If you are running coaxials full range with a simple high-pass, the processor is more than you need, and the WX900.4 covers that build in a smaller sealed chassis.
What This Is Best For
- Active crossovers with real slope control – every amplified channel can be set to high-pass, band-pass or low-pass anywhere from 20Hz to 20kHz, at 6, 12, 24 or 48dB per octave. A 24 or 48dB slope gives much cleaner separation between a tweeter and the driver below it than the fixed 12dB filters on a conventional amp.
- Time alignment and EQ – DIALD™ adds time alignment and equalisation to the crossovers. Delaying the nearer speakers so every driver's sound arrives at the rider together pulls the image into the centre of the fairing, and EQ corrects the peaks a fairing or saddlebag cavity adds.
- Feeding a second amplifier from the same tune – the two pass-through channels carry signal out of the DSP to another amplifier. A mid-bass or subwoofer amp such as the WX1000.1 then works from the same processor as the four amplified channels, so the whole system is set up in one DIALD™ session.
- Tuning from the seat – the Bluetooth® app lets you adjust settings while sitting on the bike, listening in the position you actually ride in, rather than tuning at a bench and checking afterwards.
- 2Ω pro coaxial systems – 300W per channel at 2Ω gives a CXX65.2 fairing pair and a CXX69.2 saddlebag pair real headroom at highway speed, with the DSP managing where each pair's bandwidth starts and stops.
- A rack fit on Road Glide and Street Glide – the WX1200.4PRO is designed around Cicada's fairing amplifier racks for these two platforms, so it bolts in rather than being strapped into a cavity.
WX1200.4PRO, WX900.4 or a Separate DSP?
If your speakers are coaxials running full range or behind a simple high-pass, the fixed crossover on the WX900.4 does the job, and you don't pay for a processor you won't use. If you need steep slopes, band-pass channels or a second amplifier on the same tune, the WX1200.4PRO puts all of that in one sealed box with one power feed. If you already own amplification you intend to keep, or need more than six channels of processing, a standalone DSP412PRO (four inputs, twelve outputs) ahead of those amps is the more flexible path.
The Bottom Line
The WX1200.4PRO is for builds where tuning matters as much as power. You get 300W × 4 at 2Ω, a six-channel processor you can adjust from your phone, and an IPX6 chassis that mounts on the Road Glide and Street Glide racks. For a system matched to your bike, tell the System Builder your model and year and we'll match the whole system and price it.

What the DSP Does
The processor handles six channels. Four feed the WX1200.4PRO's own amplifier stages; two are pass-through outputs that leave the unit at signal level for another amplifier. Each channel can be set as a high-pass, band-pass or low-pass filter anywhere from 20Hz to 20kHz, with a slope of 6, 12, 24 or 48dB per octave. On the road: a horn tweeter can be high-passed at 48dB per octave so it isn't pushed below its comfortable range at highway volume, while the mid-bass channel is band-passed so it neither rumbles in the subsonic region nor strays into the vocal range.
Band-pass is the setting fixed-crossover amplifiers don't have. It limits a channel at both ends, which is what a midrange or mid-bass driver in a multi-way system needs. Slope matters as much as frequency. At 12dB per octave, a driver still receives a quarter of the signal one octave past the crossover point. At 48dB per octave, the level one octave out is about 1/250th (down 48dB), so each driver stays within the band it was chosen for.
Time Alignment and EQ
Beyond crossovers, DIALD™ gives each channel time alignment and equalisation. On a motorcycle the rider sits much closer to the fairing speakers than the rear ones, and slightly off-centre to both, so sound from each speaker arrives at a different moment. Delaying the nearer channels lines those arrivals up. EQ then flattens the peaks and dips that a fairing cavity, a saddlebag lid or a Tour-Pak® adds to a driver's response. On the road: vocals sit in the middle of the fairing instead of leaning toward the nearest speaker, and the system can be turned up without one harsh frequency band arriving first.
Tuning with DIALD™
DIALD™ is Cicada's own DSP configuration software. It runs on a Windows® PC connected by USB-C and as an iOS® and Android™ app connected over Bluetooth®. The USB-C connection needs a data-capable cable. One is included; a charging-only USB-C cable will not connect. Bluetooth® also carries audio streaming where supported. On the road: detailed setup work suits a laptop in the garage, and the final touches can be made from the seat with the engine running and the fairing closed, which is how the system will actually be heard.
Power Output
At 14.4V the WX1200.4PRO makes 300W × 4 at 2Ω, the 1,200W total behind its name, and 200W × 4 at 4Ω. Bridged, it delivers 600W × 2 into 4Ω. A 4Ω load on a bridged pair places each channel's share at an effective 2Ω, so the bridged rating stops at 4Ω and a 2Ω speaker should not be bridged. The 2/4 channel input switch lets one stereo source drive all four amplified channels.
Connections
Power, ground and speaker wiring land on busbar-style terminals: 4 AWG for power and ground, 12 AWG for the speaker outputs. Signal comes in through Molex® inputs, hooked up by RCA or H-D custom-terminated harnesses. They accept high-level (speaker-level) signal directly from a factory radio as well as low-level RCA from an aftermarket head unit. Turn-on can be REM, DC offset or VOX signal-sensing, to suit the head unit or interface feeding the amp. On the road: busbar terminals clamp the wire directly, with no crimped pins to work loose, and the 4 AWG capacity lets the power feed be sized for this amp's current rather than for the smallest wire that will do.
Built for Weather
The WX1200.4PRO carries an IPX6 rating under IEC 60529: protection against powerful water jets from any direction. That covers rain at speed, road spray and a wash-down. It is not a submersion rating, and a high-pressure washer at close range exceeds what the test applies. Inside, the circuit board is conformal coated against moisture, vibration and condensation. The unit is fully encased in an extruded aluminium heatsink that conducts heat out through the chassis, and water-repellent materials with over-moulded strain relief protect the points where wiring leaves the case. An ICAD protection circuit guards against overload, and clipping and status LEDs give a visual check during setup.
Power Supply and Charging System
The WX1200.4PRO has the highest current demand in the WX range: 70A at music levels, 150A at maximum, with a recommended 100A fuse. It operates from 9V to 16V. The IR-based Class-D output stage runs at 80% efficiency, so most of what the amp draws becomes output rather than heat. Even so, check this load against your bike's charging capacity before adding a second amplifier or other high-draw accessories. Use oxygen-free copper (OFC) power and ground cable, and fuse the feed close to the battery.
2023.5 CVO™ and 2024+ Skyline OS Bikes
On 2023.5 CVO™ and 2024+ Touring models running Skyline OS, factory audio is carried digitally over A2B, so the WX1200.4PRO takes its signal from an A2B interface such as the NAV-TV ZEN-H or ZEN-H PRO, which is required on these bikes. With processing already built into the amplifier, which interface suits your build depends on the rest of the system. Ask us if you're unsure.
