The Rockford Fosgate PMX-BTUR is a universal Bluetooth® remote control for audio systems that use a mobile phone as the source over a Bluetooth connection. It adjusts volume, track, play and pause on Android® and Apple® devices, pairs at the press of one button through a Bluetooth 4.0 Smart Ready receiver, and ships with two mounting options: a hand-held bezel and a steering wheel bezel with a Velcro strap. It is rated IP67 and is also compatible directly with the PMX-1 source unit.
This is the control half of a phone-based setup. The music still lives on the phone, but the phone can stay in a pocket or a tank bag while the remote takes care of volume and track changes from wherever you have strapped it.
Who This Is For
You run your music from your phone rather than a head unit, and you want to change the volume or skip a track without digging the phone out. The remote is designed for mobile, marine, motorsport and motorcycle use, so the same part suits the bike, the boat and the car. If what you actually want is a receiver in the fairing instead of a phone as the source, look at the digital media receiver for 1998 – 2013 Harley-Davidson®, or at a complete 2014+ two-speaker and amplifier kit for a newer bike.
What This Is Best For

It is not described as a replacement for the controls on a factory Harley-Davidson radio or on other head units, so if you are running a head unit rather than a phone, check with us first.
