The Cicada Audio CHDSGG is a pair of custom tooled replacement round speaker grilles for 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson batwing Touring models – Street Glide, Street Glide Special, Electra Glide and Ultra Limited. 6.5-inch, metal powder-coated mesh, with added internal depth to accommodate upgraded Cicada Audio 6.5-inch speakers in the factory fairing positions. OEM fitment. Sold as pair.
If your bike has the batwing fairing, this is your grille. The round fairing speaker positions are shared across the 2014–2023 batwing range, so the same grille fits a Street Glide, an Electra Glide and an Ultra Limited alike – the Road Glide's sharknose fairing is the one that takes something different.
The factory round grilles are designed around the OEM speaker depth and don't always provide adequate clearance for upgraded 6.5-inch speaker assemblies with larger motors or deeper baskets. The CHDSGG replaces them with purpose-built alternatives that maintain the correct OEM mounting dimensions while providing the additional internal depth Cicada Audio 6.5-inch speakers require. What's Inside the CHDSGG
These are custom tooled grilles rather than modified factory ones: metal powder-coated mesh on a frame that keeps the OEM round mounting dimensions while carrying extra internal depth behind the mesh. That depth is there for upgraded 6.5-inch assemblies with larger motors and deeper baskets, which can run short of clearance behind a factory grille built around the OEM speaker depth. On the road: the grille clears the speaker rather than sitting against it, and the fairing is left unmodified.
The face carries no tweeter cutout, which suits builds where tweeters are mounted separately, and the mesh finish is matched to the factory batwing fairing. On the road: the fairing keeps its factory look, and the corrosion-resistant finish handles the weather it takes.
