The 24HD Saddlebag Mid-Bass & Port Install Bundle is the hardware set for cutting a Cicada Audio Pro Mid-Bass driver into each saddlebag on a 2024+ Harley-Davidson Touring model. It combines the 24HDRING10 mounting ring and grille kit, the 24HDRINGT direct-fit template kit and the 24HDPORT3 right-angle ports with pass-through plugs, each supplied as a left/right pair. Speakers, amplification and wiring are not included: this is the structure and airflow the drivers are installed into.
Cicada sells these three parts individually, but they are not independent options. The 24HDRINGT is required to install the 24HDRING10, and the same templates carry the cutout guides for the 24HDPORT3. Ordering them together means every part the cut depends on is on the bench before the first hole is drilled.
Who This Is For
The builder or installer adding a dedicated mid-bass driver to the body of each saddlebag on a 2024+ Street Glide® or Road Glide®, usually as the rear stage of a high-output Cicada system behind a horn or coaxial front stage. You should already know which driver is going in: the CMB8.S4 (8″), CMB10.S4 (10″) or CMB10.S4NEO (10″ neodymium). If you want 6×9 speakers in the saddlebag lids rather than a driver in the bag itself, the 24CHDLID lid cut-in kit is the correct part. This bundle is shaped for the 2024+ saddlebag and is not intended for earlier Touring bags. If you would rather have the whole rear stage specified for you, tell the System Builder your model and year and we'll match the whole system and price it.
What This Is Best For
- 24HDRING10 – a proper baffle for a heavy driver – A CMB10.S4 carries a 76mm (3″) voice coil and a die-cast aluminium basket, and it needs a rigid, correctly aligned surface to mount to. The 24HDRING10 is a precision-moulded ring matched to the 2024+ saddlebag, with a protective grille that finishes the opening. Cicada rates it for 8″ or 10″ Pro Mid-Bass drivers. On the road: a driver fixed to a rigid ring holds its alignment under chassis vibration, so the output you set in the workshop is still there at 110 km/h.
- 24HDRINGT – cut positions decided before you cut – Custom-moulded high-grade ABS templates, left and right, form-fitted to the 2024+ saddlebag. They are pre-marked with cutout guides for the CMB8.S4, CMB10.S4 and CMB10.S4NEO, port cutout guides for the 24HDPORT3, and saddlebag brace templates with alignment guides for drilling. Speaker, port and brace positions all come from one reference instead of three separate measurements.
- 24HDPORT3 – tuned port and wiring entry in one part – A Cicada-engineered 3″ right-angle port for 2024+ saddlebags, sold as a pair. It turns the bag into a ported enclosure for Cicada Pro Mid-Bass drivers, and its weather-resistant pass-through plugs give speaker wiring a clean, sealed entry point. The 90-degree design minimises cable strain and fits the tight space inside the bag. On the road: the wire entry is sealed rather than improvised, so rain and road spray have one less way into the bag.
- Matched to the amplifier the driver needs – The CMB8.S4 is rated at 500W RMS and is designed to run bridged off a FLX1000.4, which Cicada publishes at 461W × 2 bridged into 4Ω at 12.5V. The CMB10.S4 and CMB10.S4NEO are rated at 800W RMS and suit bridged channels on a FLX1400.4 or a dedicated FLX1600.1 mono amplifier, rated 1,600W RMS at 2Ω, which is the load a pair of 4Ω drivers presents wired in parallel.
- Know the storage trade-off up front – The driver and port sit inside the bag. Mounting depth is 99.5mm (3.9″) for the CMB8.S4, 110mm (4.3″) for the CMB10.S4 and 115mm (4.5″) for the CMB10.S4NEO, plus the port. Riders who tour with full bags should factor that space in when choosing between 8″ and 10″.
Choose Your Driver Before You Cut
Cutting a saddlebag is permanent. The 24HDRINGT carries separate 8″ and 10″ cutout guides, so the driver decision is made at the template, not after the hole exists. Work through it in this order:
- Output goal and amplifier. A 10″ driver at 800W RMS needs a FLX1600.1 or bridged FLX1400.4 channels to use its rating. If your amplifier budget sits around 500W per driver, the CMB8.S4 is the better match.
- Bag space. The 8″ driver gives back roughly 10–15mm of depth against the 10″ options.
- Weight. The CMB10.S4NEO shares the CMB10.S4's 800W RMS rating and voice coil but uses an N42 neodymium motor, so it is lighter for the same output.
Professional installation is strongly recommended. Template placement, port position and brace drilling all affect both the acoustic result and the structural integrity of the bag. If you are unsure which driver suits your build, call MAA on 07 3350 1354 before you order.

What's in the 24HD Saddlebag Bundle
The mounting system is the 24HDRING10: a matched pair of precision-moulded mounting rings and protective speaker grilles, engineered by Cicada for 2024+ Harley-Davidson saddlebags and rated for 8″ or 10″ Pro Mid-Bass drivers. The ring gives the driver a rigid mounting face aligned to the bag, and the grille protects the cone and finishes the opening. On the road: a heavy driver on a rigid ring stays put through the vibration and road shock a saddlebag sees every kilometre.
The cutting guide is the 24HDRINGT: custom-moulded high-grade ABS templates, left and right, form-fitted to the 2024+ saddlebag. They carry pre-marked speaker cutout guides for the CMB8.S4, CMB10.S4 and CMB10.S4NEO, port cutout guides for the 24HDPORT3, and left and right saddlebag brace templates with alignment guides for accurate drilling. On the road: accurate cutouts let the ring sit flush and sealed against the bag, and a sealed mount is what keeps air leaks and panel buzz out of the result at speed.
The port is the 24HDPORT3: a pair of Cicada-engineered 3″ right-angle ports for 2024+ saddlebags, with weather-resistant pass-through plugs for speaker wiring. The 90-degree design keeps the port compact inside the bag and minimises strain on the cable where it passes through. On the road: a sealed wiring entry keeps weather out and keeps the bag airtight, so the port does the tuning rather than a gap around the cable.
Why a Ported Saddlebag
In a ported enclosure, the air in the port works with the air inside the enclosure to reinforce the driver's output in the lower part of its range, where a driver on its own is losing output. Where that reinforcement lands depends on the port's dimensions and the internal volume it works against, which is why Cicada engineered the 24HDPORT3 around the 2024+ saddlebag instead of leaving the builder to calculate a port for an irregular bag. The same logic explains the pass-through plugs: the 24HDPORT3 is designed to work with an otherwise sealed bag, and an unsealed cable hole can act as a second, untuned opening. On the road: the bag works as one tuned enclosure, so the drivers can reach a given level with less effort in the range the port reinforces.
The port does not replace correct amplifier setup. The mid-bass drivers still need crossover, gain and limiter settings appropriate to the driver and the amplifier; confirm the tune with your installer or ask MAA.
What You'll Still Need
- Mid-bass drivers (one per bag): CMB8.S4 8″ 500W RMS, CMB10.S4 10″ 800W RMS, or CMB10.S4NEO 10″ 800W RMS neodymium. Each is sold individually.
- Amplification: FLX1000.4 (bridged, for the CMB8.S4), FLX1400.4 (bridged channels) or FLX1600.1 (dedicated mono) for the 10″ drivers.
- Power and speaker wiring: power and ground cabling rated for the amplifier, such as the HDPG4K 4 AWG kit, plus speaker wire to each saddlebag.
- Signal source on Skyline OS bikes: 2023.5+ Touring models route audio over a digital A2B bus, so an aftermarket amplifier needs an A2B interface such as the 24HDZENHCAKIT.
