The Cicada Audio 24CHDLID is a 6×9-inch saddlebag lid cut-in mounting kit precision-engineered for 2024+ Harley-Davidson Touring models – a three-part top-load assembly (powder-coated steel grille, angled ASA plastic baffle, and gasketed clamping ring) designed to support heavy, full-depth 6×9 and mid-bass drivers with rider-focused acoustic projection, full waterproof sealing, and long-term structural integrity. Most saddlebag lid cut-in kits are designed for lightweight coaxials in a flat-mount orientation. The 24CHDLID is engineered differently – a rigid three-part top-load assembly that handles heavier, deeper speaker frames without flex or rattle, angles the driver directly toward the rider for real-world projection at highway speed, and seals the lid completely against water intrusion at the clamping ring. ABS cut-out templates take the guesswork out of the cut, and every accessory for a finished install is included in the box.

How It Works
Three parts stack down from the top of the lid: a powder-coated steel grille with edgeless trim, a high-strength ASA baffle angled toward the rider, and a gasketed clamping ring that draws the assembly onto the lid. Loading from the top is what lets the assembly carry heavy, full-depth 6×9 and mid-bass frames without flex or rattle. On the road: the angled baffle aims the output at the rider instead of straight up, which is where the clarity, volume and mid-bass impact at speed come from.
The box also holds ABS moulded cut-out templates for the left and right lids, rainproof lid covers, tethers with a crossover pouch, die-cut speaker gasketing and heavy-duty lid gasket seals. On the road: the gasketed clamping ring and the lid seals close the top of the bag against water.
