The Cicada Audio CHD65HD is a pair of custom-molded high-grade ABS saddlebag speaker dividers for Cicada Audio® 6.5-inch speakers — controls the internal air volume behind the speaker to reduce distortion and improve mid-bass performance. Includes a pre-cut damping mat and all installation hardware. Compatible with CM, CHX, CX, and CXX Cicada Audio® 6.5-inch speakers only.
Running a 6.5-inch speaker in a Harley-Davidson® saddlebag without controlling the air volume behind it leads to unloaded cone movement, distortion, and potential driver damage at higher output levels. The CHD65HD divider sits between the speaker and the bag interior, creating the correct air boundary for Cicada Audio® 6.5-inch drivers and letting the speaker perform as designed. The pre-cut damping mat reduces resonance from the bag structure, and all mounting hardware is included.
⚠️ Critical installation requirement: The amplifier or DSP crossover must be set to 250 Hz at 12–24 dB/octave or higher when using this divider. Any crossover point below 250 Hz will cause distortion and may permanently damage the speaker due to the controlled air space. Damage from incorrect crossover settings is not covered under warranty.
