350W × 4 DSP Pro amplifier for Harley-Davidson Touring — integrated 6-channel DSP with Bluetooth streaming and iOS app control

The Cicada Audio FLX1400.4PRO is a high-power, ultra-efficient Class-D amplifier with an integrated 6-channel DSP — delivering 350W × 4 RMS at 2Ω and 700W × 2 RMS bridged at 4Ω, with an onboard DSP covering the full 20 Hz–20 kHz range at slopes up to 48 dB/oct, Bluetooth® audio streaming, and iOS App or Windows PC tuning via USB-C. Four amplified output channels and two pass-through DSP outputs — the complete amplification and signal processing hub for a high-output Harley Touring system in a single chassis that fits standard Road Glide® and Street Glide® amp rack positions.

The FLX1400.4 is the high-output amplifier. The DSP412PRO is the processor that handles tuning upstream. The FLX1400.4PRO eliminates the two-unit architecture by integrating both into a single chassis — the same 350W per channel, the same compact fairing amp tray footprint, with a built-in DSP that handles EQ, time alignment, and full-range crossover control without adding a separate unit to the install. The two DSP pass-through outputs extend the signal routing to additional downstream amplifiers, making the FLX1400.4PRO the signal hub for a multi-amp build as well as a standalone solution. For maximum-output builds where signal control is part of the design from the start, the FLX1400.4PRO is the complete solution.

Who This Is For

For riders building a high-output, properly tuned system — and who want the amplification and signal processing in a single chassis rather than separate units. The FLX1400.4PRO is the DSP-integrated alternative to pairing the FLX1400.4 with a standalone DSP412PRO, and the step up from the FLX700.4PRO for builds where 175W per channel is no longer enough. Requires 4 AWG power wiring infrastructure. Riders who want to tune from a phone without a laptop will find the iOS app compatibility a significant practical advantage over the DSP-only processors in the range.

What This Is Best For

  • High-output builds requiring DSP in a single chassis — 350W per channel with per-channel EQ, time alignment, and variable crossover slope from one fairing amp tray position. No separate processor required, no additional wiring run for a second unit. The 6-channel architecture — 4 amplified, 2 pass-through — means the FLX1400.4PRO can simultaneously power the main stage and feed processed signal to a downstream subwoofer or rear-stage amplifier.
  • iOS App and Bluetooth tuning on the bike — the DIALD™ iOS App connects over Bluetooth® for real-time DSP adjustment without a laptop. Tune the system while the bike is running, make fine adjustments mid-ride, or save presets from the cockpit. For builds where pulling a laptop out at every tuning session isn't practical, this is the difference between a system that gets tuned properly and one that doesn't.
  • Active front stage builds at high output — the DSP crossover's full 20 Hz–20 kHz range and 6–48 dB/oct slope options handle dedicated tweeter and midrange driver separation cleanly at the output levels where it matters most. Bandpass mode adds a third crossover configuration for mid-bass channel control without relying on upstream or downstream filtering.
  • Bridged front or rear stage at 700W × 2 — 700W × 2 at 4Ω bridged with DSP-processed signal feeding each bridged pair. The 2CH/4CH input switch selects bridging mode directly on the chassis. The crossover handles sub or mid-bass channel separation in the DSP before the signal reaches the output stage — no downstream LPF required.
  • Multi-amp systems using DSP pass-through — the two pass-through DSP outputs extend processed signal to a second amplifier downstream. A single FLX1400.4PRO can drive the front stage directly and feed a processed, time-aligned signal to a rear-stage or subwoofer amplifier, all from one fairing amp tray position.
  • Replacing a FLX1400.4 + DSP412PRO two-unit setup — for builds where the separate processor and amplifier are already the architecture but a simpler single-unit solution is preferred, the FLX1400.4PRO consolidates both into one chassis and one install position. Riders upgrading from that architecture can retain the same 4 AWG wiring infrastructure without modification.

4 AWG Wiring Required — DSP Tuning via iOS App or Windows PC

The FLX1400.4PRO requires 4 AWG power and ground wiring from the supply to the amplifier. A 100A fuse is required on the power feed. The HDPG4K 4 AWG power and ground kit is the correct solution for this application.

DSP configuration is performed via the DIALD™ iOS App over Bluetooth® — no laptop required for standard tuning. For advanced configuration or full parameter access, DIALD™ PC software is available via USB-C (Windows PC required). Settings are stored on the unit and persist without the phone or laptop present during operation.

For the same output without integrated DSP, the FLX1400.4 is the standard version. For DSP-integrated output with less per-channel power, the FLX700.4PRO delivers 175W × 4 without the 4 AWG requirement.

The Bottom Line

The complete high-output solution — 350W × 4 at 2Ω, 700W × 2 bridged, full-range DSP crossover with HP/BP/LP modes, Bluetooth® streaming, iOS App and PC tuning, and 2 DSP pass-through outputs in a single compact chassis that fits standard Road Glide® and Street Glide® amp racks. For builds where the amplifier and the tuning belong in one unit — and where phone-based tuning makes the difference between a system that gets dialled in and one that doesn't. Ready to upgrade? Add to cart above. For the same output without integrated DSP, see the FLX1400.4. For DSP-integrated output at lower power, see the FLX700.4PRO.

What's Inside the FLX1400.4PRO

The amplifier section uses a Class-D IR® chipset — the same digital amplifier topology that delivers the high output-to-chassis-size ratio across the FLX compact range, but specified here with the latest-generation IR (Infineon) silicon. Class-D switches the output stage at high frequency rather than running it continuously in the linear region, which is why 80% efficiency is achievable at this output level from a chassis that fits a standard fairing amp tray. On the road: the FLX1400.4PRO generates substantially less heat at sustained highway volume than a comparable AB-class design — relevant when the amp is mounted in a sealed fairing cavity with limited airflow.

The conformal-coated circuit board seals the PCB surface against moisture ingress, condensation, and fine particulate. Combined with the fully extruded aluminium heatsink enclosure, the board is protected from the environment a motorcycle fairing creates — temperature cycling, humidity variation, and vibration that would degrade an uncoated board over time. On the road: reliable operation across Australian riding conditions, from coastal humidity to outback heat cycles, without the gradual performance degradation that moisture and vibration cause on unprotected boards.

The ICAD overload protection circuit monitors the output stage continuously and intervenes before a fault condition develops into component damage. Unlike a standard thermal cutout that reacts after the fact, ICAD limits operation within safe parameters during sustained high-output operation. On the road: the amp recovers from a momentary overload condition and keeps playing rather than shutting down and requiring a key cycle to reset.

Why the 6-Channel DSP Architecture

The DSP in the FLX1400.4PRO is a 6-channel processor: 4 channels feed the amplifier output stage directly, and 2 channels are available as processed pass-through outputs for a downstream amplifier. This is a different architecture from a 4-channel DSP amp — the pass-through outputs allow the FLX1400.4PRO to function as the central signal processor for a multi-amp system, not just as an amplifier with tuning capability.

In a two-amp build, the FLX1400.4PRO handles the front stage at 350W × 4 while sending a processed, time-aligned signal from the pass-through outputs to a rear-stage or subwoofer amplifier downstream. The entire system runs through one DSP, one tuning interface, one fairing amp tray position. The alternative — a standalone DSP upstream feeding two separate amplifiers — adds wiring runs, a second mounting position, and a more complex signal chain to achieve the same result.

The DSP crossover covers the full 20 Hz–20 kHz range with HP, BP, and LP modes at selectable slopes of 6, 12, 24, and 48 dB per octave. Bandpass mode is available for mid-bass channel control without relying on upstream or downstream filtering. The 48 dB/oct slope provides the sharp driver separation needed for active tweeter and midrange configurations — the steepest slope available in any amplifier in the FLX range.

Why Bluetooth and iOS App Tuning

Every DSP amplifier in the FLX range supports PC tuning via USB-C. The FLX1400.4PRO adds Bluetooth® audio streaming and DIALD™ iOS App compatibility — two features that change how the system gets tuned in practice.

The iOS App connects over Bluetooth® for real-time DSP parameter adjustment without a laptop. On a working install, this means tuning the system at the kerb with the engine running and music playing — adjusting EQ, crossover frequency, and time alignment while hearing the actual result through the speakers on the bike, not through studio monitors. The C2C USB-C waterproof extension kit mounts the USB-C access point at the cockpit for PC tuning sessions without panel removal — but for day-to-day fine adjustment, the iOS App over Bluetooth® removes the need to plug in at all.

Bluetooth® audio streaming means the DSP can also function as a Bluetooth® receiver — useful for bikes without a Bluetooth-capable head unit or as a direct streaming path independent of the head unit's source.

Power Output — What the Numbers Mean

The FLX1400.4PRO is rated at 14.4V — a fully charged, engine-running system. At that voltage, the amp delivers 225W × 4 at 4Ω and 350W × 4 at 2Ω. The 2Ω figures at 14.4V drive the product name: 350W × 4 yields approximately 1,400W total RMS at rated voltage. Bridged, the amp produces 700W × 2 at 4Ω — the configuration for maximum per-channel output to a dedicated mid-bass enclosure, subwoofer, or high-output two-channel front stage.

In bridged operation, the DSP's onboard crossover handles channel filtering before the signal reaches the output stage — the sub or mid-bass channel receives a DSP-processed low-pass signal rather than relying on amp-level crossover control downstream. The 2CH/4CH input switch on the chassis selects bridged or four-channel operation directly without needing to access the DSP software.

System Integration

The FLX1400.4PRO accepts high-level speaker output from the factory Harley Boom!™ Box radio directly via Molex® inputs — the same connector format as H-D® factory termination, no adaptor required for 2014–2023 models — or standard RCA from any aftermarket head unit. The Molex® input accepts RCA or H-D® custom termination in the same connector housing, which simplifies integration across both factory and aftermarket head unit installs.

Turn-on supports REM, DC offset, and VOX modes. DC offset turn-on is useful on older Harley platforms where routing a clean remote wire to the factory head unit is not practical. VOX (voice-activated) turn-on triggers the amplifier from signal presence — useful for installs where neither a clean remote wire nor reliable DC offset is available.

At 70A music-level current draw, the FLX1400.4PRO's wiring requirement is well-defined: a 100A fuse on the power feed and 4 AWG for the power and ground run. The HDPG4K 4 AWG power and ground kit is the correct solution for this amplifier. For builds pairing the FLX1400.4PRO with a second downstream amplifier fed from the pass-through outputs, verify total system current load against the bike's alternator output and battery capacity before finalising the design.

2024+ Platform Notes

For 2023.5 CVO and 2024+ Harley-Davidson Touring models running Skyline OS, the FLX1400.4PRO can be integrated as part of an aftermarket audio system when paired with a NAV-TV ZEN-H or ZEN-H Pro. The ZEN-H handles the Skyline OS signal interface — the FLX1400.4PRO then receives the processed output, applies its own DSP tuning, and powers the speakers downstream. Without a NAV-TV ZEN-H or ZEN-H Pro, integration with a 2023.5 CVO or 2024+ Harley is not supported. For 2014–2023 models (excluding 2023.5 CVO), the high-level Molex® input connects directly to the factory Boom!™ Box radio.
