Amplifiers – Trike Touring
Trike Touring amplifier installs follow the same platform rules as equivalent two-wheel Touring bikes. Pre-2014 trikes wire to analogue head unit speaker outputs. 2014–2023 trikes running Boom! Box GTS use speaker-level inputs or a line output converter. 2024+ trike models with Skyline OS require the NAV-TV ZEN-H interface before any amplifier connection — identical to the two-wheel 2024+ Touring requirement.
Amplifier mounting on a trike offers more options than a two-wheeler. The trunk or topbox provides additional space — useful for larger four-channel amplifiers or a separate subwoofer channel. Routing power cable from the battery to the trunk is a longer run than a standard batwing install and needs appropriate wire gauge and fusing at both ends. Heat routing away from other components also needs more planning on a trike build.
A trike with a complete audio install — front fairing stage, amplified and DSP-tuned, with a rear trunk speaker stage — is a genuinely exceptional listening environment. If you're planning a full trike build and want to talk through the stages, call us. Ships Australia-wide and to New Zealand.
