The 2400W mono amplifier for maximum Harley bass output from a single compact chassis

The SounDigital EVO PS 2400.1 delivers up to 2400W RMS from a chassis of 214 x 149 x 62mm (8.4 x 5.8 x 2.4 in). It is the top of the EVO PS monoblock range, built for Harley-Davidson Touring systems that demand serious subwoofer or mid-bass output but have no room for a large amplifier. A damping factor over 2000, locked gain, high and low level inputs, and full protection circuitry are standard.

The 2400.1 is the most powerful single-channel amplifier in the EVO PS line. Choose it over the EVO PS 1200.1 when you are running dual subs, a demanding single sub, or a high-output mid-bass stage. For a lighter build that draws less current, the EVO PS 800.1 is the compact starting point.

Who This Is For

You are building an aggressive Harley Touring bass stage: dual saddlebag subs, a single high-power sub, or a bank of mid-bass drivers that need real wattage to keep up with a loud front stage. The 2400.1 has the output and the flexible impedance to drive them. If your build is a single 4 ohm sub with no plan to expand, the EVO PS 1200.1 is the tidier match and draws less current.

What This Is Best For

  • Dual subwoofer builds. The 2 ohm version makes the full 2400W into a 2 ohm load, which is what two 4 ohm subs wired in parallel present, so you drive a pair from one amplifier at rated power.
  • A high-output single sub. The 4 ohm version delivers 2400W into a 4 ohm load, giving a single capable sub every watt it can take.
  • A hard-hitting mid-bass stage that keeps pace with a pro-audio front stage. Paired with drivers such as the Cicada CMB10-S4, the 2400.1 supplies the headroom mid-bass needs to punch through wind at highway speed.
  • Control at high power. A damping factor over 2000 keeps the low end tight even at full output, so more power does not become loose, boomy bass.

Plan the charging system first

The 2400.1 draws 93A during music and up to 185A at maximum, with a recommended 100A music fuse. This is a genuine load on a Harley electrical system. Run a 1/0 AWG or heavy 2 AWG power and ground feed such as the Cicada HDPG2KD kit, and plan for a high-output stator and a strong or lithium battery so voltage stays up under sustained bass. A 2400W amplifier on a stock charging system will run out of voltage before it runs out of power. Choose the 2 ohm or 4 ohm version to match your sub load, and tell us your drivers if you want that confirmed.

The Bottom Line

The EVO PS 2400.1 is the amplifier to choose when you want the most bass a single EVO PS monoblock can make, with the impedance flexibility to run one sub or two. Add it to cart above. For a lighter single-sub build, the EVO PS 1200.1 is the sensible step down, and the SounDigital HKI Mini DSP lets you tune the stage to the bike.

Inside the EVO PS 2400.1

The amplifier runs a full-range Class-D output stage at 90 percent efficiency. At 2400W that efficiency is what makes the amplifier physically possible in a motorcycle chassis, because a less efficient design would generate far more heat than a sealed fairing or saddlebag can shed. On the road: the 2400.1 sustains its output on a long hot run where a lower-efficiency amplifier would drop into protection.

Bass control comes from a damping factor over 2000. At this power level tight control matters more, not less, because there is enough energy to make a poorly controlled cone overshoot badly. On the road: even at full output the bass stays articulate rather than turning into undefined pressure.

Why the flexible impedance matters

Offered in 2 ohm and 4 ohm versions, the 2400.1 covers both common bass loads at full power. The 2 ohm version suits dual subs or a single 2 ohm driver; the 4 ohm version suits a single 4 ohm sub. Matching the version to your load is what lets the amplifier make its rated 2400W rather than falling short into the wrong impedance. If your build is fixed at a single 4 ohm sub, the EVO PS 1200.1 gives you a no-choice 4 ohm design.
