Reason 5We Protect the Bike
A quality installation should not damage the motorcycle or make future servicing unnecessarily difficult.
Our workshop preference is to use purpose-built adaptor harnesses, reversible connections and non-destructive integration methods wherever the bike allows it.
Where custom wiring is required, it should be:
- Correctly sized and fused.
- Protected from heat and moving parts.
- Weather-resistant.
- Mounted and routed securely.
- Serviceable for future work.
- Documented where appropriate.
We do not cut the factory loom simply because it is quicker.
Reason 6DSP Is Part of the System Conversation
We strongly recommend digital signal processing for amplified systems, particularly multi-speaker and custom builds.
The DSP may be built into the amplifier or installed as a separate processor.
It provides control over channel levels, crossovers, equalisation, phase relationships, time alignment and speaker protection. That control can be the difference between a system that is simply loud and one that is balanced, clean and useful on the road.
DSP is not treated as an automatic upsell. Where a simpler system can be configured safely without it, we will explain that option and its limitations.
Reason 7We Account for the Motorcycle’s Electrical Limits
Amplifiers draw their power from the bike.
Before recommending a high-output system, we consider:
- Charging-system capacity.
- Battery condition and type.
- Existing electrical accessories.
- Cable size and length.
- Fuse and grounding requirements.
- Expected music draw.
- Voltage stability during operation.
A larger battery can improve reserve capacity and voltage stability, but it does not create additional charging output.
If the electrical system needs attention before more audio equipment is added, we will say so.
Reason 8We Select Products for Motorcycle Use
Motorcycles expose audio equipment to heat, moisture, vibration, UV and long periods of high-output use.
We assess products based on factors including:
- Application suitability.
- Construction and weather protection.
- Mounting and enclosure requirements.
- Technical performance.
- Connector and wiring quality.
- Supplier and warranty support.
- Real-world experience from trusted riders and installers.
Hands-on workshop experience is an important part of our product selection, but it is not the only consideration.
Every product should have a sound technical reason for why it belongs in the systems we recommend.
