Head Units – Road Glide 2024+

Head Units for the 2024 and Newer Harley-Davidson Road Glide®

On the redesigned 2024 and newer Road Glide®, a head-unit replacement is not the practical upgrade it is on earlier platforms. Skyline OS uses A2B digital audio and is deeply integrated with the bike's instrumentation, connectivity and navigation, so an aftermarket direct swap is difficult and MAA does not currently stock a replacement unit for this platform. The honest answer for most riders is that the sound is better improved another way.

The Practical Path on Skyline OS

Skyline OS already provides Bluetooth streaming, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto natively, which removes the main reason people replaced a head unit on earlier bikes. The real limitation is output: the factory amplification is often the limiting factor for meaningful volume at highway speed. The practical solution is to keep the factory Skyline unit and add an aftermarket amplifier and speakers, using a compatible A2B interface such as the NAV-TV ZEN-H to take the factory audio to the amplifier. This preserves all factory integration, including navigation, TPMS, the instrument cluster and over-the-air updates.

FAQ

Can I replace the head unit on a 2024 and newer Road Glide?

Not practically for most owners. Skyline OS is integrated with the bike's instrumentation, connectivity and navigation, so a direct aftermarket swap is difficult, and MAA does not currently stock a replacement unit for this platform.

How do I improve the sound then?

Keep the factory Skyline unit and add an aftermarket amplifier and speakers, using a compatible A2B interface such as the NAV-TV ZEN-H. This addresses the real limitation, which is output power, without touching the head unit or losing factory integration.

Will I lose CarPlay or navigation?

No. Skyline OS provides wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and navigation natively, and the amplifier path keeps all of it, along with TPMS, the instrument cluster and over-the-air updates.

Head Units for the 2024 and Newer Road Glide

The 2024 and newer Road Glide® with Skyline OS makes a head-unit swap impractical, and it already provides wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth natively. The practical upgrade is to keep the factory unit and add amplification and speakers via a compatible A2B interface such as the NAV-TV ZEN-H.
