Digital signal processing is what turns a set of speakers and amplifiers into a tuned system, with crossover control, equalisation, level setting and time alignment to suit the bike and the listening position. Cicada offers DSP two ways: a standalone processor for a full system, and FLX PRO amplifiers with the processing built in for a space-efficient install. Which you choose depends on the size of the build and whether you want the amplifier and processor in one box.
This collection carries the DSP412PRO processor and the FLX700.4PRO and FLX1400.4PRO DSP amplifiers. The DSP412PRO is a configurable processor with up to four inputs and twelve outputs, with DiaLD software and a published IP65 rating, the current Cicada processor for a larger or more precise system. The earlier DSP88V2 remains listed for reference, but the DSP412PRO is the current recommendation.

A DSP amplifier such as the FLX PRO puts power and tuning in one compact box, well suited to compact systems. The standalone DSP412PRO suits a larger system that needs more inputs, outputs and control.
Is the DSP412PRO weatherproof?
Yes, it carries a published IP65 rating. FLX amplifiers use conformal-coated circuitry rather than a published enclosure rating, so mount those out of direct water.
What about the DSP88V2?
The DSP88V2 remains listed for reference, but the DSP412PRO is the current Cicada processor and the one we recommend for a new build, with DiaLD software and the IP65 rating.
Do I need DSP at all?
