Full-cone hydrophobic covers that keep saddlebag 6x9 speakers dry on a Harley
The American Hard Bag IP-SSK-6x9 provides full-cone moisture protection for 6x9 speakers mounted in Harley-Davidson® Touring saddlebags. Unlike a tweeter gasket that leaves the cone exposed, these covers are a full-coverage hydrophobic acoustic barrier with a precision-moulded gasket that seals the speaker to the lid. Made from premium hydrophobic cloth with a 3M 9448A adhesive backing, and sold as a pair. This narrow-flange version is designed for 2023.5 and newer Harley lids.
Saddlebag lids funnel water straight onto the speaker in rain and washing, and cone saturation is a leading cause of distortion and early speaker death. These covers stop that while staying acoustically transparent.

You run 6x9 speakers in Harley saddlebags and want to protect them from the water a lid funnels in, without dulling the sound. The IP-SSK-6x9 suits 2023.5 and newer lids with their narrower flange footprint, and most aftermarket 6x9 speakers in earlier lids. For full-flange 6x9 speakers, the AHB 6x9V version is the better match.

Match the version to your flange and lid
This IP-SSK-6x9 version is designed for the narrower flange footprint of 2023.5 and newer Harley lids, and also works with many aftermarket 6x9 speakers in earlier lids. If your 6x9 speakers have a full flange, choose the AHB 6x9V version instead. These covers provide significant moisture protection but do not guarantee complete waterproofing. How the barrier works
The cover is a hydrophobic acoustic cloth that sheds water on contact while letting sound pass, backed by a precision-moulded gasket that seals the speaker to the lid. Full-cone coverage is the point: a tweeter-only seal leaves the cone open to the water a lid collects. On the road: rain and washdowns run off the cover instead of soaking into the cone.
