This Product Has Been Discontinued
The Cicada Audio DSP88v2 has been discontinued. The nearest current replacement is the Cicada Audio DSP412PRO — 4-Input × 12-Output DSP Processor.
Cicada Audio DSP88v2 — 8×8 Motorcycle DSP Processor (8 In / 8 Out)
8-channel DSP processor. 8 inputs, 8 outputs, variable crossovers and full EQ for complex motorcycle audio builds. The Cicada Audio DSP88V2 is an 8×8 digital signal processor — 8 high/low level inputs, 8 RCA outputs, up to 8V output voltage, variable crossovers from 20 Hz to 10 kHz with selectable 6–48 dB/octave slopes, 32-bit DSP core at 147 MIPS, 24-bit ADC/DAC, and Windows PC software with save/load preset capability. Operating voltage 9–16 VDC. Dimensions: 32 × 102.5 × 130 mm (1.26″ × 4.04″ × 5.12″).
The DSP88V2 is a full-featured 8-channel DSP processor built for multi-amp motorcycle audio systems where independent control over front, rear, lid, and subwoofer stages is required. Eight high/low level inputs allow it to integrate cleanly with both factory head units and aftermarket radios — accept the source signal at whatever level the head unit provides, process it, and send up to eight independently configured output channels to the amplifier stages downstream. The high output voltage ceiling (up to 8V) ensures headroom into modern Class-D motorcycle amplifiers without clipping at the DSP output.
Who This Is For
Riders building multi-amp Harley Touring or custom motorcycle systems who need independent crossover, EQ, delay, and level control on more channels than a simpler 4-channel DSP can provide. The DSP88V2's 8×8 architecture suits full front-rear-lid-sub system layouts where each stage needs its own crossover point and level adjustment. For builds using up to four amplified channels, the DSP412PRO is the more appropriate choice.
What This Is Best For
- Multi-amp Harley Touring builds with separate front, rear lid, and subwoofer stages — 8 independent output channels allow dedicated crossover and level control for each speaker position without sharing channels.
- Factory radio integration — high/low level inputs accept both speaker-level output from factory head units and RCA-level output from aftermarket radios without additional line output converters.
- Builds requiring repeatable, shareable tunes — PC software allows complete system settings to be saved as presets and loaded to another DSP88V2 unit; useful for builders tuning multiple bikes to the same configuration.
- Systems where fine EQ control matters — Q range of 0.05 to 20.0 allows both broad shelving adjustments and very narrow notch filtering from the same interface.
The Bottom Line
8 inputs, 8 outputs, variable crossovers with six slope options, full parametric EQ, 32-bit processing, up to 8V output, Windows PC software with preset save/load. The full-channel DSP for complex motorcycle audio builds. Add to cart above.
What's Inside the DSP88V2
The DSP88V2 is built around a 32-bit DSP core running at 147 MIPS with 72-bit accumulators — sufficient processing headroom for all crossover, EQ, delay, and routing operations across all eight channels simultaneously without processing bottlenecks.
The 24-bit ADC (105 dB dynamic range) handles the analog-to-digital conversion from the input stage; the 24-bit DAC (108 dB dynamic range) drives the eight RCA output channels at up to 8V. The combination delivers a measured signal-to-noise ratio above 100 dBA and THD+N below 1.0% — clean performance through the signal chain at any gain setting.
The crossover section provides variable frequency from 20 Hz to 10 kHz with selectable slopes at 6, 12, 18, 24, 36, or 48 dB per octave — covering everything from a gentle high-pass on a tweeter stage to a steep subwoofer low-pass.
The EQ section offers selectable Q values from 0.05 to 20.0, allowing broad tonal adjustments (low Q) through to very narrow notch correction (high Q) from the same parametric interface.
The Windows PC software provides full graphical control over all DSP functions, with the ability to save complete system configurations as preset files and load them to any DSP88V2 unit — useful for restoring a tune after a system change, or replicating a setup across multiple bikes.
