The mid-bass uses a Carbon Matrix Composite™ (CMC™) cone — lightweight, rigid, and thermally stable. The 2.0-inch / 51mm Black Coat™ OFC copper voice coil handles sustained 250W RMS. The OFC copper shorting ring in the motor gap reduces inductance modulation distortion. The mid-bass covers from 70 Hz to the 7 kHz crossover point — vocal range, instrument body, and lower presence frequencies — from the 2024+ Street Glide fairing position. On the road: full midrange presence from the factory fairing position on the 2024+ Street Glide, with the ring radiator horn tweeter handling everything above 7 kHz.
The tweeter is a 1.0-inch shallow ring radiator in a horn waveguide at 107 dB — the same unit as the 14CXK65 kit. Tweeter attenuation of -3 or -6 dB compensates for the sensitivity difference between tweeter and mid-bass. The 12 dB passive crossover at 7 kHz is external, custom-tooled, vented, and encased. On the road: horn-loaded high-frequency projection at 107 dB — the same efficient tweeter as the 14CXK65 kit, in 2024+ Street Glide-specific hardware.
The kit includes Street Glide-specific grills and mounting brackets matched to the 2024+ Street Glide fairing design. A system-level high-pass on the amplifier at 80–120 Hz is still recommended to protect the mid-bass driver from sub-bass content.
