The Cicada Audio® 14FLXCXX-4X2 is the Pro Coaxial step-up in the FLX front-stage range. It runs the FLX500.4 4-channel Class-D amplifier in bridged mode, pairing two channels per speaker to deliver approximately 250W into each 4Ω CXX65.4 Pro Coaxial. Select Road Glide® or Street Glide® at checkout and the kit ships with the matching amplifier rack and Cicada-branded fairing grilles.
Why Choose This System
- Bridged output, approximately 250W per speaker. Channels 1 and 2 drive the left CXX65.4 and channels 3 and 4 the right. The same FLX500.4 runs four channels unbridged in the standard kit; pairing them here puts roughly twice the power into each of two speakers.
- Carbon matrix cone, specified at 4Ω. The CXX65.4 uses a carbon matrix cone designed for improved cone control at sustained output. The 4Ω impedance is the correct load for this bridged configuration.
- Complete and model-specific. Amplifier, speakers, power wiring, Harley-specific Molex® harnesses, the correct amplifier rack and branded grilles are all in the box. Nothing to source separately and no compatibility research on installation day.
- Works with the standard charging system. The included HDPG8K 8 AWG fused power and ground kit is sized for the FLX500.4's current requirements in this bridged configuration. No battery upgrade is needed for this system.
- DSP optional, not required. The kit works as supplied, with DSP expansion available later if you want it.
Who It's For
Riders on 2014–2023 Harley Touring platforms who want the Pro Coaxial front stage and a bridged two-speaker configuration from the FLX500.4. Road Glide or Street Glide?
The amplifier, speakers, wiring and harnesses are identical in both variants. Only the mounting hardware differs. The Road Glide variant includes the 14HDAR-RG amplifier rack and CHDRGG kidney grilles. The Street Glide variant includes the 14HDAR-SG rack and CHDSGG batwing grilles. If you are unsure which you have, the Road Glide has a Sharknose fairing and the Street Glide has a batwing fairing. Select the correct variant before adding to cart.

Important: factory-radio installations require a radio flash
The factory Infotainment radio on these models ships with firmware tuned around the standard speaker system. It applies EQ curves, dynamic compression, bass roll-off as volume climbs, and output limiting – and none of that is removed by adding an amplifier. The processed, limited signal reaches the FLX500.4 exactly as it left the head unit, which can limit usable headroom, reduce bass as volume increases and leave the midrange sounding congested.
A correct flash removes the factory speaker EQ, compression and limiting so the amplifier receives a signal suited to an aftermarket amplified system. It is a quick workshop procedure. TechnoResearch is the most widely used option, and any authorised Harley dealer with Screamin' Eagle® Flash tooling can also perform it – pricing varies by provider, so confirm when you book. Arrange the flash before or on the same day as installation. If your bike has already been flashed, or you are running an aftermarket head unit, talk to us first and we will confirm what your bike needs.

How the System Works
The FLX500.4 is a 4-channel Class-D amplifier built for Harley Touring fairing installations. Here it runs bridged: channels 1 and 2 drive the left CXX65.4, channels 3 and 4 the right. Bridged into the CXX65.4's 4Ω load, that is approximately 250W per speaker. On the road: the additional headroom becomes most useful at highway speed. With pipes and wind in the mix, the front stage can maintain useful output without pushing the amplifier as close to its limits.
The CXX65.4 is Cicada's 6.5″ Pro Coaxial at 4Ω, the correct impedance for a bridged pair. Its carbon matrix cone is designed for improved cone control at higher output levels. On the road: vocals and midrange carry with more authority from the fairing, and the front stage stays clear further up the volume range – useful well above 100 km/h.
The HDPG8K 8 AWG fused power and ground kit is appropriately sized for the FLX500.4's current requirements, including this bridged configuration, so no larger power kit is required for this system.
