The tweeter in this kit is 4Ω but operates on its own crossover branch. For bridged amplifier configurations requiring a 4Ω minimum load, the 24CXK69.4 (4Ω) is the correct choice.

The mid-bass driver and tweeter are identical in construction to the CXK69.2 — the 24CXK69.2 is differentiated by the 2024+ Touring-specific mounting hardware included in the kit, not by differences in the drivers or crossover.
The mid-bass uses a Carbon Matrix Composite™ (CMC™) cone — lightweight, rigid, and thermally stable under sustained high-output operation. The 2.0-inch / 51mm Black Coat™ OFC copper voice coil handles sustained 250W RMS. The OFC copper shorting ring in the motor gap reduces inductance modulation distortion and extends upper mid-bass response. The mid-bass covers from 70 Hz to the 7 kHz crossover point — the full vocal and instrument body range from the saddlebag lid position. On the road: defined mid-bass and full midrange from the 2024+ saddlebag position, with the ring radiator horn tweeter handling everything above 7 kHz.
The tweeter is a 1.0-inch shallow ring radiator in a horn waveguide at 101 dB with a field-replaceable diaphragm and aluminium die-cast backplate. Ring radiators maintain wider dispersion at high frequencies than conventional domes — relevant when the listener's position changes with road conditions. The 12 dB passive crossover at 7 kHz is external, custom-tooled, vented, and encased. The kit includes 2024+ Harley Touring saddlebag-specific mounting hardware (tweeter bracket set and mounting hardware). A system-level high-pass on the amplifier at 80–120 Hz is still recommended to protect the mid-bass driver from sub-bass content.
Sensitivity and Frequency Coverage
The 24CXK69.2 delivers the same acoustic performance as the CXK69.2 — 94 dB mid-bass, 101 dB tweeter, 70 Hz – 20 kHz combined system response with the passive crossover managing the transition at 7 kHz. The 2024+ Touring-specific mounting hardware is the functional difference between the two kits; the acoustic performance is identical.
Why 2Ω — Amplifier Pairing
At 2Ω, the 24CXK69.2 extracts full rated output from any 2Ω-stable motorcycle amplifier. The FLX1400.4 and FLX2000.4 publish their rated output at 2Ω stereo. Paired with a 24CXK65.2SG or 24CXK65.2RG front stage, a 4-channel amplifier drives the complete front + rear passive component system. For bridged configurations, the 24CXK69.4 satisfies the 4Ω minimum load requirement.
