The Cicada Audio CHDCXXO is a passive crossover for CH and CHX series speakers — 4 kHz crossover point at 12 dB/octave with switchable –3 dB/–6 dB tweeter attenuation for level matching. Direct replacement for the stock CH/CHX crossover. Sold individually.
A failed or missing passive crossover in a CH or CHX speaker system results in the tweeter receiving full-range signal — leading to overload, distortion, or tweeter damage. The CHDCXXO is a direct-fit replacement built to the same crossover spec as the factory CH/CHX crossover, with the addition of switchable tweeter attenuation so the output level can be balanced to suit the install. Premium components keep signal loss minimal and the 4 kHz crossover point preserves the smooth frequency handoff between the woofer and tweeter that CH/CHX speakers are designed around.
