Radio, amplifier and tuned fairing speakers for the 1998 to 2013 Street Glide®, with two channels held in reserve
This Rockford Fosgate kit is a 400 watt front-stage system for select 1998 – 2013 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide and Electra Glide® models. It includes the PMX-HD9813 digital media receiver, a TM400X4ad 400 watt 4-channel amplifier, a pair of TMS6SG 6.5 inch fairing speakers with a Street Glide grille and the RFK-HD9813 amplifier wiring kit. Two amplifier channels drive the fairing and two are reserved for saddlebag or Tour-Pak® speakers you add later.
This is the sensible starting point for a staged build. You get the new source unit, the amplifier and the fairing pair now, installed as a matched set, and the rear stage is a later purchase rather than a rewire.
Who This Is For
You ride a 1998 – 2013 Street Glide (FLHX) or a 2006 – 2013 Electra Glide Standard (FLHTI) and you want the fairing sorted properly first. If you want the bag lid speakers in the same order, the four-speaker Street Glide kit is the same system with the rear pair included. If you do not want an amplifier at all, the source unit and two-speaker kit is the simpler option. For the sharknose fairing, the two-speaker Road Glide® kit is the matching part.
What This Is Best For
- A front stage that is finished, not patched. Receiver, amplifier, fairing speakers and wiring are supplied together and matched, so there is no component research and no parts-matching risk.
- Room to grow. The TM400X4ad runs two channels to the fairing speakers and holds two channels for saddlebag or Tour-Pak speakers added later.
- A bolt-in install with no cutting. The kit bolts to factory attachment points, and the RFK-HD9813 wiring kit uses direct connect harnesses made for Harley-Davidson models.
- Volume that survives the highway. The 6.5 inch fairing speakers are frequency-response tuned to overcome wind, exhaust and road noise up to 75 mph (120 km/h).
- Modern source and control. The PMX-HD9813 adds Bluetooth® wireless streaming, USB and AUX inputs, Pandora® and a digital AM/FM tuner, and radio integration supports front and rear fader control.
Check what your radio is wired to before ordering
The PMX-HD9813 receiver is not compatible with factory amplified systems, CB, intercom, rear volume controls, rear speakers on 1998 – 2005 Ultra models, or factory equipped satellite radio systems. The receiver is SiriusXM® Ready, though SiriusXM is not available in Australia. If you are not sure what your bike is fitted with, tell us the model and year and we will check it for you.
What is in the kit
The PMX-HD9813 digital media receiver replaces the factory radio on 1998 – 2013 models and brings Bluetooth streaming, USB, AUX, Pandora and a digital AM/FM tuner with it. The TM400X4ad amplifier is a Power Marine 400 watt Class-AD 4-channel amp, with two channels on the fairing speakers and two spare. The TMS6SG speakers are 6.5 inch two-way Element Ready™ drivers with a phase-aligned 25 mm tweeter and a Street Glide grille. The RFK-HD9813 amplifier wiring kit ties it together with direct connect harnesses, an external heat-sink, mounting brackets, speaker and power wiring and all the necessary hardware. On the road: you ride with a properly amplified front stage now, and the two spare channels keep the rear speakers a later purchase rather than a rewire.
