The Cicada Audio CHDLID is a 6×9-inch saddlebag lid cut-in mounting kit for 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson Touring models – precision ABS moulded mounting frames sized for all Cicada Audio® 6×9-inch speakers, dual-layer grilles (ABS outer frame with powder-coated stamped steel insert), and one-time-use ABS alignment jigs for accurate cut-in placement. Speakers sold separately. Not compatible with saddlebags equipped with electric locks. Not designed for 2024+ H-D saddlebag lids.
Adding 6×9-inch speakers to factory 2014–2023 H-D Touring saddlebag lids requires cutting the lid – and cutting without a precise template means misaligned openings, poor grille fit, and a finish that doesn't look intentional. What's Inside the CHDLID
The kit is three moulded parts doing three jobs. The ABS alignment jigs mark the lid so the opening is cut in the right place, the precision ABS moulded frames sit in that opening and take the 6×9-inch speaker, and the dual-layer grilles finish it, with an ABS outer frame for structural fitment and a powder-coated stamped steel insert for the mesh. On the road: the lid on the bike is still your own factory painted lid, cut once and cut in the right spot.
The jigs are single-use by design, which is how the kit holds factory-level accuracy in the cut position and alignment. On the road: the grille sits cleanly in the lid instead of proud of a cut that wandered.
