Convert 2014 to 2023 Harley 6x9 saddlebag lids to high-output 8 inch speakers
The IP-6X9-8 Speaker Adapter Set converts the 6x9 saddlebag lid mounts on a 2014 to 2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring bike into 8 inch speaker locations. An 8 inch driver has significantly more cone area than a 6x9, so the step up delivers much stronger, cleaner midbass and output. Rigid, high-strength composite, sold as a pair with mounting hardware.
This is a mounting adapter, not a speaker. It unlocks the larger 8 inch driver class in a saddlebag lid that is already cut for 6x9.
Who This Is For
You run 6x9 saddlebag lids on a 2014 to 2023 Touring bike and you want the bigger midbass an 8 inch driver gives. These adapters carry high-output 8 inch speakers such as the Hertz SX200 NEO or the SV200-L mid-bass driver. If your lids are not already cut for 6x9, you first need a cut-in kit such as the Hertz HD14H.
What This Is Best For
- A big midbass upgrade. 8 inch drivers move far more air than a 6x9, so saddlebag midbass gets louder, deeper and cleaner.
- Using the saddlebag as an enclosure. A Harley saddlebag has the internal volume a high-efficiency 8 inch pro driver wants, and the rigid adapter seals the driver to the lid so the low end stays accurate.
- High-power builds. The rigid construction resists flex under a powerful 8 inch driver, which keeps midbass tight at volume.
- Matching a strong front stage. More rear midbass balances an SPL or pro-audio fairing stage.
Compatibility: check before you order
The IP-6X9-8 requires existing 6x9 lid mounts, factory or aftermarket, and fits 2014 to 2023 Street Glide®, Road Glide®, Electra Glide® and Ultra. It is not compatible with CVO lids, Hogtunes lids, or 2023.5 and newer Touring bikes. Speakers, lids and cut-in kits are not included. If your lids need cutting for 6x9 first, add the Hertz HD14H cut-in kit. Tell us your bike and lid style and we will confirm the fit.

Why 8 inch over 6x9
Cone area drives midbass, and an 8 inch driver has substantially more of it than a 6x9. Mounted rigidly and sealed to the lid, it turns the saddlebag's internal volume into real low-end output. On the road: the rear midbass has the weight to be felt over wind and exhaust, not just heard.
