Wireless Apple CarPlay® — Full iPhone Integration Without Cables

Apple CarPlay® on the SoundStream WHD.9813 connects wirelessly — no cable required, no cable to wear out from vibration or weather. Once paired, your iPhone connects automatically each time you ride. Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, Apple Music, podcasts, calls, and messages all appear on the 7.7-inch display in the CarPlay interface. Control via touchscreen or via the OEM handlebar controls built into the unit — no separate module required. Siri® responds to voice commands for hands-free operation at speed.

Wireless Android Auto® — Google Assistant and Full Android Integration

Android Auto® connects wirelessly and brings your Android apps to the WHD.9813's screen with no cable needed. Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, and messaging apps are all accessible from the display or via voice. Google Assistant handles natural voice commands — directions, messages, weather, fuel stops — without taking your hands off the bars. Real-time traffic data through Waze or Google Maps is displayed clearly on the 7.7-inch screen.

7.7" Widescreen Quantum Film LCD — Big Screen, Sharp in Sunlight

The 7.7-inch widescreen Quantum Film LCD is one of the larger displays available in a plug-and-play Harley head unit. The widescreen format gives more usable screen area for maps, menus, and media controls compared to standard-format units — easier to read at a glance, easier to navigate with gloved hands. The Quantum Film panel delivers vivid colour and strong daylight readability, and the capacitive touchscreen responds accurately in any conditions.

Bluetooth® Audio and Hands-Free Calling

Independent of CarPlay and Android Auto, the WHD.9813 supports Bluetooth® wireless audio streaming and hands-free phone calling. Stream music or take calls over a direct Bluetooth® connection when a full CarPlay or Android Auto session isn't needed.

Touring-Specific Installation — Handlebar Controls Built In

The WHD.9813 is designed specifically for the 1998–2013 Harley-Davidson® Touring fairing. It mounts using the OEM hardware — no brackets, no trim panels, no modifications to the fairing required. The OEM AM/FM radio antenna connects directly with no adapters. A 53-centimetre (21-inch) USB cable is included and can be routed to either side of the fairing. Handlebar controls are integrated directly into the unit — volume, track, and call functions operate from the factory bar switches without a separate handlebar control module.

IPx5 Water Resistance — Built for Real Riding

The WHD.9813's faceplate is rated IPx5 — protected against direct water spray from any direction. Sealed internals and vibration-resistant construction keep it operating reliably through rain, road grime, and wash-downs over the long term.

Class A/B Amplifier with 15-Band EQ and Full DSP

The WHD.9813 includes a built-in 4-channel Class A/B amplifier, 2-ohm stable — enough clean power to drive upgraded Touring speakers directly, or to serve as the signal source in a multi-amplifier system. Five-volt RCA outputs for front, rear, and subwoofer channels provide a strong, clean signal to downstream amplifiers. The 15-band digital equaliser includes two custom EQ memory slots and music genre presets for fast tuning without starting from scratch. High-pass crossovers cover front and rear channels independently; low-pass and subsonic crossovers cover the subwoofer RCA output.

Camera Input

An RCA video input with 12V trigger support and an on-screen shortcut allows connection of a rear or parking camera. The camera feed displays on the 7.7-inch screen, triggered automatically or manually via the shortcut.

SiriusXM® Ready

The WHD.9813 is hardware-ready for the SiriusXM® SXV300 vehicle connect tuner (sold separately). SiriusXM® satellite radio services are not available in Australia, but the capability is present for riders who spend time in North America.
