Complete Level 3 horn coaxial system for 2014–2023 Harley Touring — FLX700.4 amplifier, CH65.2C fairing, CH69.2W saddlebag lids
The Cicada Audio 14FLXCH-4X4 is the Level 3 complete front-and-rear audio upgrade for 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring baggers. Built around the FLX700.4 4-channel Class-D amplifier, 2Ω CH65.2C horn coaxial fairing speakers, and 2Ω CH69.2W horn coaxial saddlebag lid speakers — horn-loaded tweeters at both front and rear positions. Includes full four-harness Molex® integration, saddlebag lid cut-in kit, 8 AWG wiring, model-specific amplifier rack, and branded grilles. Select Road Glide or Street Glide at checkout.
The 14FLXCH-4X4 is the full-stage evolution of the 14FLXCH-4X2 — adding the CH69.2W horn coaxial rear stage and stepping the amplifier up to the FLX700.4 at 175W × 4. It sits alongside the 14FLXPCH-4X2 — which uses the FLX700.4PRO DSP amplifier for a front-only stage with tuning capability. If Tour-Pak is your rear position, see the 14FLXPCHCXX-4X4U.
Who This Is For
Riders on 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring baggers who want horn coaxial speakers at both front and rear — the CH69.2W in the saddlebag lids matches the horn-loaded character of the CH65.2C fairing speakers for a consistent tonal signature across the bike. The FLX700.4 provides 175W per channel at 2Ω throughout without DSP. For the front stage only, see the 14FLXCH-4X2. For the front stage with DSP control, see the 14FLXPCH-4X2.
What This Is Best For
- Horn coaxials front and rear — CH65.2C fairing and CH69.2W saddlebag lids — the CH65.2C and CH69.2W both use a horn-loaded tweeter that concentrates high-frequency energy toward the listening position. Running matched horn coaxials at both stages means consistent tonal character front-to-rear — the same directional projection quality from the fairing carries through to the saddlebag lids. Both are 2Ω, matched to the FLX700.4 at rated output across all four channels.
- CH69.2W — horn coaxial in the 6×9″ saddlebag lid format — the CH69.2W brings horn-loaded tweeter performance to the larger-format rear position. The 6×9″ cone area adds low-mid weight to the rear stage while the horn tweeter maintains the directional projection that distinguishes the CH series from standard coaxials. At 2Ω, the rear channels run at the same rated power as the front. On the road: the CH69.2W in the saddlebag lids produces rear fill with genuine presence — not just background warmth, but real projection that both rider and passenger can hear clearly at highway speed.
- FLX700.4 — 175W × 4 into 2Ω — the FLX700.4 drives all four CH-series speakers at rated output. At 2Ω, the amplifier delivers 175W per channel to each horn coaxial — front and rear matched. More headroom than the FLX500.4, which matters when horn coaxials at both positions are competing against highway wind noise simultaneously. 8 AWG wiring is correctly sized for this system's current draw.
- Complete front-and-rear install in one kit — amplifier, front speakers, rear speakers, saddlebag lid cut-in kit, 8 AWG wiring, four Molex® harnesses, model-specific amplifier rack, and branded grilles. One kit, one install.
Road Glide or Street Glide?
The amplifier, speakers, wiring, harnesses, and saddlebag lid kit are identical in both variants. What differs is the model-specific mounting hardware. The Road Glide variant includes the 14HDAR-RG amplifier rack and CHDRGG kidney grilles. The Street Glide variant includes the 14HDAR-SG amplifier rack and CHDSGG batwing grilles.
This System Requires a Radio Flash
Before installing any amplified audio upgrade on a 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson® Touring model, the factory Infotainment radio needs to be flashed. Stock firmware applies EQ curves, dynamic compression, and output limiting that remain active after the amplifier is installed. A radio flash takes approximately 30 minutes and costs roughly $150–$300 AUD (TechnoResearch or any authorised Harley-Davidson® dealer). The flash is required — not optional.
The Bottom Line
The Level 3 complete front-and-rear horn coaxial system — FLX700.4 amplifier, CH65.2C horn coaxials at the fairing, CH69.2W horn coaxials in the saddlebag lids, 8 AWG wiring, full harness set, lid cut-in kit, rack, and grilles. Select Road Glide or Street Glide above. For front stage only, see the 14FLXCH-4X2.

The FLX700.4 Amplifier
The FLX700.4 is a 4-channel Class-D amplifier delivering 175W RMS per channel into 2Ω — correctly matched to the CH65.2C and CH69.2W front and rear. Without DSP, it is the straightforward high-power option for riders who want maximum output from a horn coaxial system without tuning complexity. 8 AWG wiring is correctly sized for this amplifier's current draw. On the road: 175W per channel into 2Ω horn coaxials front and rear gives the system significant headroom above highway riding levels — at sustained motorway speeds where the CXX series starts to reach its ceiling, the FLX700.4 driving CH-series speakers has output to spare.
The CH65.2C Front Speakers
The CH65.2C uses a horn-loaded tweeter at 2Ω — directing high-frequency energy forward into the rider's listening position. Paired with the FLX700.4 at rated output, the front stage of the 14FLXCH-4X4 is the highest-output fairing speaker configuration in the standard bagger kit range. On the road: vocal clarity and high-frequency presence through the fairing at speed — the horn tweeter maintains projection and definition where dome tweeters lose intelligibility into background wind noise.
The CH69.2W Rear Speakers
The CH69.2W brings horn coaxial architecture to the 6×9″ saddlebag lid position at 2Ω — matching the front stage in both tonal character and amplifier load. The 6×9″ cone contributes low-mid weight that supports the rear fill role, while the horn tweeter maintains the same directional projection quality as the front. On the road: a rear stage that contributes real output to the system rather than just background fill — matched horn coaxials at both positions means the bike sounds like one coherent system front-to-rear.
