Horn front stage with dedicated rear midrange reinforcement for 2024+ Harley-Davidson® Road Glide
The Cicada Audio® 24FLXPCHCMB-4X4RG uses the FLX1400.4PRO to run two different stages: 2Ω CH65.2C horn coaxials in the fairing and 4Ω CMB69.4 drivers in the saddlebag lids. The rear pair has no tweeters and is deliberately band-limited from 250 Hz upward. It reinforces lower midrange and output from the bags; it is not a subwoofer or deep-bass stage.
Why This Mixed Front and Rear System Exists
- The front remains full range. CH65.2C combines a 6.5″ mid-bass cone with a horn-loaded tweeter, so vocals and high frequencies continue to originate from the fairing.
- The rear is a dedicated reinforcement band. CMB69.4 is a 6×9″ mid-bass driver without a tweeter. In a sealed saddlebag lid it must be high-passed at 250 Hz / 24 dB/oct, or 300 Hz / 12 dB/oct.
- Front and rear receive different amplifier power. The 2Ω front channels can produce 350W each but must be limited to the CH65.2C's 250W RMS rating. The 4Ω rear channels can produce 225W each but must be limited to the CMB69.4's 150W RMS rating.
- DSP makes the mixed system manageable. Separate crossover, gain, limiter, EQ and delay settings are required for the two speaker families; the four channels cannot be trimmed identically.
- The Road Glide installation parts are included. 24HDAR-RG carries the amplifier, 24CHDRGG finishes the fairing and 24CHDLID supports the rear drivers.
Rear CMB69.4 crossover is mandatory
Do not run the saddlebag drivers full range or below their sealed-lid limit. Use at least 250 Hz at 24 dB/oct, or 300 Hz at 12 dB/oct. Lower settings can cause over-excursion, distortion and permanent damage. Apply a 150W limiter to the rear channels.

Choosing the Right Rear Stage
Choose 24FLXPCH-4X4RG when full-range horn coaxials are wanted in the lids, or 24FLXPCM-4X8RG for separate mid-bass and tweeter components. The front-only Level 3 PRO kit omits the saddlebag stage entirely. The CH69.4W link provides the full-range rear-speaker alternative.
