The 6.5-inch flat wave guide for fairing and pod horn builds.
The Cicada Audio RR3WG-65F is a 6.5-inch flat horn acoustic wave guide for the RR2TM and RR3TM compression motors — the compact format in the Cicada horn range, built for fairing positions, pods, and tight custom enclosures where a 6×9 horn doesn't fit. UV-stable, powder-coated aluminium frame with stainless steel mounting hardware. Nanofram™ compatible. Sold as a pair. Motor not included.
The RR3WG-65F brings horn-loaded performance to positions where the 6×9 wave guides are simply too large. It shares the same motor throat geometry and acoustic loading principle as the larger RR3WG-69* variants — mount an RR2TM (2-inch ferrite) or RR3TM (3-inch neo) motor at the throat, and the compact horn loads the motor and projects high-frequency output forward. The 6.5-inch format is the practical choice for 2014–2023 and 2024+ Harley Touring fairing positions, lower fairing pod mounts, and any custom enclosure sized for a 6.5-inch opening.
Who This Is For
Riders building a horn front stage in a Harley fairing position, a lower fairing pod, or any tight custom enclosure where the 6×9 wave guides won't fit. For saddlebag lid builds where a full 6×9 footprint is available, the RR3WG-69F flat or RR3WG-69S shallow are the larger-format options.
What This Is Best For
- Harley Touring fairing horn stage (2014–2023 and 2024+) — fits the factory 6.5-inch fairing speaker openings on Street Glide and Road Glide models; delivers horn-loaded output from the standard fairing position.
- Lower fairing pod horn builds — compact footprint suits aftermarket lower fairing pods and custom speaker housings sized for 6.5-inch cutouts.
- Custom enclosure and bespoke builds — anywhere a 6.5-inch horn is the right footprint for the mounting location.
Waveguide only — motor required separately.
The RR3WG-65F is an acoustic wave guide. A compression motor — RR2TM (ferrite) or RR3TM (neo) — is required and sold separately. For 6×9 mounting positions, see the RR3WG-69F (flat) or RR3WG-69S (shallow).
The Bottom Line
The 6.5-inch compact wave guide for fairing, pod, and tight-space horn builds. Same motor compatibility as the 6×9 variants. Powder-coated aluminium frame. Stainless mounting hardware. Nanofram™ compatible. Sold as a pair. Motor sold separately.
Ready to build? Add to cart above. For the motor, see the RR2TM (ferrite) or RR3TM (neo). For the 6×9 flat, see the RR3WG-69F.
What's Inside the RR3WG-65F
The RR3WG-65F uses the same motor throat geometry and acoustic flare design as the larger RR3WG-69* wave guides, scaled to the 6.5-inch format. The compact horn loads the RR2TM or RR3TM motor throat and directs acoustic output forward with controlled dispersion — the same horn-loaded efficiency and projection principle, in a package that fits where the 6×9 variants cannot.
The frame is UV-treated, powder-coated aluminium — more rigid than composite, corrosion-resistant, and suited to exposed mounting positions. Stainless steel mounting hardware is included. Nanofram™ compatible — accepts the Cicada Nanofram™ horn cover for environmental protection.
