The 6×9 shallow wave guide for tight-clearance saddlebag lid builds.
The Cicada Audio RR3WG-69S is a 6×9-inch shallow horn acoustic wave guide for the RR2TM and RR3TM compression motors — engineered for saddlebag lid positions where standard horn depth doesn't fit. UV-stable all-weather composite construction. Nanofram™ compatible. Sold as a pair. Motor not included.
The RR3WG-69S shares the same 6×9 motor throat geometry as the RR3WG-69F flat variant, but with a reduced-depth profile that fits saddlebag lid positions with tight rear clearance. Where the RR3WG-69F is the maximum-output option, the RR3WG-69S is the practical fit-first choice — same motor compatibility, same acoustic character, sized to go where the flat variant cannot. Compatible with both the RR2TM (2-inch ferrite) and RR3TM (3-inch neo) motors.
Who This Is For
Riders building a saddlebag lid horn stage where the full mounting depth of the RR3WG-69F flat won't clear the lid enclosure. For maximum horn output with standard clearance, the RR3WG-69F is the full-depth option. For directional aiming toward the rider, the RR3WG-69A adds a built-in angle.
What This Is Best For
- Tight-clearance saddlebag lid positions — fits where the full-depth RR3WG-69F will not; delivers horn-loaded output from depth-constrained 6×9 saddlebag positions.
- Saddlebag lid horn builds on 2014–2023 or 2024+ Harley Touring models — same 6×9 motor throat compatibility, reduced lid depth requirement.
- RR2TM or RR3TM builds where clearance is the primary constraint — choose the shallow when the flat won't fit; upgrade the motor for more output.
Waveguide only — motor required separately.
The RR3WG-69S is an acoustic wave guide. A compression motor — RR2TM (ferrite) or RR3TM (neo) — is required and sold separately. For maximum output with standard clearance, the RR3WG-69F flat is the full-depth option.
The Bottom Line
The 6×9 shallow wave guide for tight saddlebag clearance — horn output from positions the flat variant won't reach. Compatible with RR2TM and RR3TM motors. All-weather composite. Nanofram™ compatible. Sold as a pair. Motor sold separately.
Ready to build? Add to cart above. For the motor, see the RR2TM (ferrite) or RR3TM (neo). For the full-depth 6×9, see the RR3WG-69F.
What's Inside the RR3WG-69S
The RR3WG-69S is identical in motor throat geometry and acoustic design to the RR3WG-69F flat — the difference is the reduced-depth horn profile. The shallow design trades some horn mouth area for a shorter rear projection, allowing installation in saddlebag lid positions where the full-depth flat variant would foul on the lid enclosure or structure.
The waveguide is constructed from UV-stable, moisture-resistant composite rated for continuous outdoor and powersports exposure. The internal flare is smooth-contoured for clean acoustic path efficiency. Nanofram™ compatible — accepts the Cicada Nanofram™ horn cover for environmental protection and finished appearance. Stainless steel mounting hardware included.
