The SoundStream Reserve V2 (HDHU.V2) is an 8.3-inch plug-and-play head unit designed to replace the factory Boom!™ Box radio (4.3, 6.5GT or GTS, depending on model and year) on compatible Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycles. Fitment covers 2014–2023 Touring models plus selected 2024–2025 models. It fits Street Glide, Road Glide, Electra Glide, Ultra and Tri Glide in the factory location using OEM mounting hardware, with no cutting or fabrication. It adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in GPS, wireless rider and passenger headsets without a WHIM module, Rally Mode™ group music sharing, and iDataLink® Maestro® vehicle integration.

Fitment
The Reserve V2 fits 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson Touring models, plus the selected 2024–2025 models listed below. It mounts in the factory head unit location with OEM mounting hardware – no brackets, trim rings or cutting – and uses the OEM USB port and radio antenna without adapters. The OEM GPS antenna is used where fitted; an aftermarket antenna is available where it isn't.

A Maestro® RR or RR2 Is Required
Handlebar controls, on-screen gauges and activation of Boom!™ Stage 1, Stage 2 and Harley Premium Audio amplifiers all run through an iDataLink® Maestro® RR or RR2. Without one there are no handlebar controls, so every volume and track change is made on the touchscreen, and supported factory amplifiers aren't activated. Nobody wants to buy a new head unit and lose the thumb controls, so every Reserve V2 we supply goes out with an RR or RR2.
The RR and RR2 give the same controls, gauges and amp activation. The RR2 is set up and updated over Bluetooth® from your phone; the RR is updated by connecting it to a computer. Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Reserve V2 replace the factory Harley Boom!™ Box radio?
Yes. On 2014–2023 Harley-Davidson Touring models, and the selected later models in the fitment table, it replaces the factory Boom!™ Box 4.3, 6.5GT or GTS in the original location, using the OEM mounting hardware, USB port and radio antenna.
Do I need a Maestro® RR or RR2?
Yes – a Maestro is required with every Reserve V2 we supply. It provides the handlebar controls, on-screen gauges and factory amplifier activation; without it, volume and track changes are touchscreen-only. The RR and RR2 both provide gauges and controls. The difference is setup: the RR2 is configured and updated over Bluetooth® from your phone, while the RR is updated by connecting it to a computer.
Do I need a WHIM module for my Bluetooth® headset?
No. The V2 pairs directly with up to two OEM or aftermarket Bluetooth® headsets, including Sena and Cardo, for rider and passenger, with no WHIM module.
Will my factory Boom!™ amplifiers still work?
Yes, on supported models, with a Maestro® RR or RR2. The Maestro module activates Boom!™ Stage 1, Stage 2 and Harley Premium Audio amplifiers through the CAN bus.
Are the rear passenger audio controls retained on Ultra models?
Yes. On Ultra and Tour-Pak®-equipped models, the rear passenger audio controls are retained with the correct integration harness. Wired intercom, factory wired headsets and CB functions vary by integration package, so confirm those with us for your model.
Does it have Australian GPS maps?
The built-in iGo Primo® system ships with USA and Canada maps. Australian maps are purchased separately, with yearly updates, through Naviextras.com. Most riders use Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze through CarPlay or Android Auto day to day, and keep iGo as the offline option.

Wireless Apple CarPlay®
Once paired, your iPhone connects automatically each time you ride, with no cable to wear out from vibration or weather. Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, Apple Music, podcasts, calls and messages appear in the CarPlay interface on the 8.3-inch screen, and Siri® handles voice commands.
Wireless Android Auto®
Android phones connect wirelessly too, bringing Google Maps, Waze, Spotify and messaging to the screen. Google Assistant handles voice requests such as directions, messages or the nearest fuel stop, and real-time traffic from Waze or Google Maps keeps you on the quickest route.
8.3" Quantum QLCD – 1000 NIT Touchscreen
At 1000 NITs, the 8.3-inch Quantum QLCD is designed to remain readable in bright Australian sun, with wide viewing angles and fast touch response. Maps, gauges and menus can be read at a glance, and the larger-than-OEM screen makes a real difference on long rides where you check navigation often.
iDataLink® Maestro® Integration
With a Maestro® RR or RR2 connected, the V2 communicates two ways with the Harley's CAN bus. It shows up to 10 live gauges from more than 50 parameters, such as oil pressure, engine temperature, gear position, battery voltage and fuel level, depending on what your bike reports, and pops up alerts for critical readings. Handlebar thumb controls are retained and programmable, and supported Boom!™ Stage 1, Stage 2 and Harley Premium Audio amplifiers are activated. The V2's harness is ready for the Maestro module.
Built-in GPS Navigation – iGo Primo®
NNG iGo Primo® navigation runs independently of mobile coverage, which is useful in regional areas where data is unreliable. It ships with USA and Canada maps and points of interest; Australian maps are purchased separately, with yearly updates, through Naviextras.com. It uses the OEM GPS antenna where fitted, and an aftermarket antenna is available where it isn't.
For most Australian riders, Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze through wireless CarPlay or Android Auto will be the preferred everyday navigation. The built-in iGo system is the offline option when mobile data isn't available.
Wireless Headsets – Rider and Passenger, No WHIM
The V2 connects directly to OEM and aftermarket Bluetooth® headsets without a Harley WHIM module, which simplifies the install and removes a part that can fail. Pair up to two headsets for rider and passenger, and set each to receive navigation prompts, music or both.
Rally Mode™ – Group Ride Music
Rally Mode™ turns the V2 into a broadcaster for your group. Riders with Rally Mode-equipped units pair to the principal broadcaster's stream, and there's no limit on how many can join. The broadcaster controls the music, and you can name your stream so the group knows which bike to connect to.
Built-in Amplifier and Audio Tuning
The V2 has a 200W, 4-channel Class A/B amplifier that is 2-ohm stable and can drive compatible factory or aftermarket speakers directly. For higher-output builds, the 5V RCA outputs for front, rear and subwoofer give external amplifiers a strong signal, which helps keep noise down at volume. A 15-band equaliser has preset and custom settings. High-pass crossovers work independently on the front and rear channels, and low-pass and subsonic crossovers cover the subwoofer output.
Rear Camera Input
An RCA video input with 12V trigger and an on-screen shortcut takes an aftermarket rear-view camera, shown on the 8.3-inch screen automatically on the trigger or manually from the shortcut. It pairs directly with the SoundStream HDV-UltraV2 wireless rear view camera.
Bluetooth® Audio
Separate from CarPlay and Android Auto, the V2 supports standard Bluetooth® audio streaming, calls and playback control.
IPx5 Water Resistance
The faceplate is rated IPx5, protected against water spray from any direction, so rain and wash-downs are part of normal use.
SiriusXM® Ready
The V2 is ready for the SiriusXM® SXV300 tuner (sold separately). SiriusXM® is not available in Australia; the capability is there for riders who spend time in North America.
