Rockford Fosgate Complete Audio Systems for Harley-Davidson Touring

A Rockford Fosgate stage kit answers a different question from a box of separate parts. Instead of choosing a speaker, then an amplifier, then working out the harness and whether the three will get along, you pick a stage that matches your bike and fit a system that has already been engineered to work together. That suits a rider who wants a known result and a straightforward install more than they want to specify every component.

The stages step up in the same order a system grows: a source unit or front speakers first, then amplification, then more speakers and more power. This collection carries source-unit and speaker kits for 1998 to 2013 Street Glide, Road Glide and Electra Glide Ultra Classic, and speaker-and-amplifier kits for select 2014 and newer Street Glide, Road Glide, Road King, Ultra and CVO models in two, four and six-speaker configurations.

How to Choose a Stage

  1. Start with your bike and its audio package. The kits are model and year specific, and a bike with a factory amplifier or a newer digital audio system may need different integration from a base model. Confirm the fitment on each kit against your exact year, model and factory setup.
  2. Decide how many positions you want driven. Two speakers is a front-stage upgrade. Four adds the saddlebag lids or rear position. Six covers front, rear and lowers on the models that support it. More positions is a bigger job as well as a bigger sound.
  3. Decide whether the source stays. On 1998 to 2013 bikes the kits include a source unit option, which replaces the factory radio as well as the speakers. On 2014 and newer models the kits work with the factory infotainment and add speakers and amplification behind it.
  4. Then add low end if you want it. A saddlebag subwoofer kit extends a stage kit downward without changing the rest of the system.

FAQ

What is in a stage kit?

Matched speakers, amplification where the stage includes it, and the harnesses needed to connect them for the listed model. The point is that the parts are specified together, so you are not matching impedance, power and fitment yourself. What each stage contains is listed on the product.

Is a stage kit better than choosing parts separately?

It is a different trade-off rather than a better one. A kit gives a known, engineered result with a simpler install. Choosing speakers and an amplifier separately gives more control over the character of the system and more room to grow it later. Which suits you depends on how specific your goals are.

Will a kit fit my bike?

Only if it is listed for your model. The kits cover select 1998 to 2013 and 2014 and newer Street Glide, Road Glide, Road King, Ultra and CVO models, and they are not interchangeable across generations because the fairings, mounting and audio integration differ. Check the fitment on each kit.

Do I need anything else to fit one?

The kits are plug-and-play for their listed models, but a bike with a factory amplifier or newer digital audio may need the correct integration harness. Confirm your model and audio package before ordering and we will tell you what else, if anything, is required.
